Pumpkin Patch Fun!

We had a wonderful Saturday at the Griffin Farms Pumpkin Patch! This was the same one we went to last year and it’s great! I’m so glad that we finally have a pumpkin patch in our area! We went through the corn maze, played in the corn cribs, played with the animals, visited with Mickey Mouse, played in bouncy houses, stepped on a bee in one, slid in the giant culvert slide 975 times, ATE PUMPKIN PIE FUNNEL CAKE!!, rode the zip line, climbed the rock wall, rode the hay ride to get our pumpkins…I’m sure there’s something I’m leaving out but you get it…we had a blast!20151003_102242_resized 20151003_123020_resized20151003_103520_resized 20151003_103904_resized 20151003_104430(0)_resized 20151003_110632_resized 20151003_121253_resized Stung by the mean ol bee! :(IMG_20151003_134435  IMG_20151004_123801  20151003_124045_resized  Seriously…I don’t do pumpkin flavored stuff but this was SO GOOD!20151003_113449_resized  20151003_120316_resized 20151003_120424_resized 20151003_110758_resized  And we ended the day with a big Bama win!!!! Mary Poppins and Roll Tide!

We had another fun and busy weekend! On Friday night, Reece and I went to see Mary Poppins at the Bama Theater! It was SO good! We knew several of the actors so that made it even more fun! It was a late night for us, we didn’t get home until after 11, which is WAY past our bedtime!

IMG_20150925_170049IMG_20150925_224652On Saturday, Hubby and I had tickets to sit in the Regions Bank Skybox at the game! Fun fun fun! :) Regions has one of the nicer skyboxes so we had a great time! And helloooo air condition! IMG_20150926_210443

Roll Tide!

Reece attended her first Bama game this past weekend! She had a blast! It was cold and rainy and she still had fun! Josh took her and the boys, I stayed home with B! Between the weather and breastfeeding it was best for us to stay home! It was a pretty low-key game for our Tide so it was the perfect first game for her! Roll Tide!

This past Saturday we took the boys to the Alabama Game! We had tickets on the 8th row on the 50 yard line! We were so close I sometimes couldn’t see over the players in front of us! I wanted to take Reece but I knew my time would be spent in the bathroom and at the concession stand! If I realized how close we would’ve been to the cheerleaders we would have taken her. She babysat Noah and had way more fun I’m sure!

Griff spent most of the game laying on my shoulder. Which is FINE with me! He also spent a lot of time worrying where we will put our new National Championship flag! This really stressed him out! HAHA! I think he’s got it figured out! ;)IMG_20120922_181114

Labor Day Weekend!

We had a fun weekend! Friday we went to watch my little brother play football! I LOVE high school football, almost as much as college! Noah learned to say “Go Bears!”.IMG_20120831_221252Saturday we hung out playing with the chickens waiting for the big game! Oh, and this is when we discovered a stray chicken hanging out around our coop!! Griffin the chicken whisperer caught it and put it inside the coop with our other chickens. IMG_20120901_153219I know you can’t see that very well but it’s the best I could get! She likes to run. All.the.time! run run run run I started calling her roadrunner because she is always in a full blown sprint!  Later that day we went to check on her and the other chickens were picking on her. I decided to let her out of the coop because I was afraid they were going to kill her. But, she’s still hanging around in our yard! I figured between the dogs chasing her and the chickens being mean she would leave. But, no.

Also, the rooster flogged Reece on Sunday. (didn’t hurt her, just scared the crap out of both of us!)So he’ll be someone’s winner winner chicken dinner very soon! I am very shocked that I didn’t kill him as many times as I kicked him.

Ok, so back on track here. We beat the holy crap out of Michigan! Roll Tide! I’m ready for #15!

Since the boys had to go to school yesterday, Reece and I had a girls day! We shopped and shopped, then picked up the boys from school and shopped some more! It’s been a LONG time since I have shopped that much in one day! HA! I hated the boys had to go to school but I love one on one time with my girl! :)IMG_20120903_100029

So Many Trophies, So Little Space!

It’s here, it’s here, it’s here!!!! Football season is upon us!

Roll Tide!

My sister and brother-in-law went to Dallas for the game so guess who gets to keep Noah ALLLLL WEEKEND!!!!! Super excited. I do know that I will have to fight Reece to spend any time with him though. She likes to hog mommy him. And that’s ok.

I came across this commercial for the Bryant Museum and thought I would share!

National Champions x 14!

Roll Tide! Number 14 is in the books!

Alabama 21 – LSU 0 zilch, nada, ZERO points.

I KNEW all day yesterday that we were going to win. Had no doubt…I wasn’t nervous at all. And that’s saying something because the first time we played LSU earlier in the season I was sick I was so nervous! However, a shut out?!?! WHAT?!?!?!? Total. Complete. Awesomeness!!!!!

And not only a shut out but LSU only crossed the 50 yard line ONCE at the VERY end of the game.

We played almost as clean as we could with only one 5 yard penalty in the last 2 minutes of the game! I feel sorry for whoever caused that one because Coach Saban was ticked!

So to all the naysayers and people who thought we shouldn’t go to the National Championship…now you have no reason to say, “well at least they held up a fight” or “they played dirty” or whatever other crap you can come up with because there is nothing! And I like it!

Our town was almost blown off the map by that nasty tornado last April and our football team and coaches rallied and brought this home for US! T-Town, never down.BCS CHAMPIONSHIP ALABAMA LSU

And for those of you not from around here, one of our football player’s(Carson Tinker) girlfriend was killed in the tornado. Before that she told Carson that this was their year and they would win in her hometown(New Orleans), on the night before her 24th birthday! Man was she ever right!

ROLL TIDE ROLL!!!!!!!!!

PS-I wonder how the Honey Badger feels this morning?

Stuff

I have GOT to start blogging seriously again. I always have something to blog about but then I get started on the next project and then things snowball!

So, to catch up, we had a wonderful Thanksgiving! :) Ate WAY too much but who cares?! Then we whooped some Auburn bootie. I mean kicked their tails!!!!!!!!!!!! ROLL TIDE. While watching the game we decked the halls :) We have four Christmas trees and I’m thinking we need to add one in the kitchen! :)

This week Josh and I have pretty much finished shopping for the kids. You all will be so proud of me! I made a spreadsheet of exactly what to buy each child-to keep from overdoing like I ALWAYS do-and we stuck to it! YAY! I got our Christmas cards ordered!

And speaking of that, I get so irritated when people say “Happy Holidays” or “Merry X-mas” or anything like that. It’s CHRISTmas people. Don’t celebrate it if you don’t believe in the REAL meaning of Christmas!!!

Anyway, I think that kinda sorta sums things up for us.

Josh’s 30th Birthday is tomorrow!!!!!!!! Old fart!

Thankful

I have SO SO much to be thankful for. Sometimes I feel too blessed. I have the sweetest, best husband EVER, the cutest little babies, the BEST family a girl could ask for…and I have a TON of family. And have I mentioned that my sisters are the bomb? Reece NEEDS a sister!

My job is crazy fabulous. And then there’s this gym we’re about to open that just adds icing to the cake! So excited about what’s coming with that.

I watched Faces of the Storm last night. I sat there and sobbed pretty much the whole time I was watching. It’s easy for us to get caught up in the rebuilding of this town and look past what we need to be remembering about that day. All the lives wrecked..people who lost their lives and homes.

We ALL need to be thankful EVERYDAY not just that last Thursday in November!

I hope you all have an amazing Thanksgiving weekend. I am going to eat like it’s my J-O-B!

OH OH OH!!!!! AND ROLL TIDE ROLL!!! Can’t wait for the Iron Bowl! :)

Roll Tide’s All I Got!

Can’t think of a blog title because this town is ONLY focused on tomorrow’s big game.

Seriously people. Seriously. And if you aren’t nervous or anxious then you aren’t a real fan. The.end.

photo 2You see those little bumps??? They are really all down the side of his face and on his eyelid! It started with a fever blister type of thing in the corner of his mouth. I get those when the weather starts changing so I assumed that it was the same thing. Griffin is the male version of me so I really thought that was what it was. Then yesterday morning when he woke up he had a few little bumps around it. I thought that was weird so I put some medicine on it and sent him to school. When I got home from work it had spread all over his face. Peachy. So I put some different medicine on it and decided to visit the doc this morning.

In the waiting room..photo 1 See, I told you we eat, sleep and breathe Alabama Football in this town! :)

Turns out, we’re not real sure what Griff has. Could be a number of things. The medicine that I put on it last night started drying it out so I’m just going to keep that up, hopefully, if not the doctor gave me something else to try!

We decided that he shouldn’t go to school today just in case. So on the way home we spotted the ESPN Game Day bus. He INSISTED that we stalk it down! ha! And he wasn’t going to be happy until we were RIGHT behind it!photo 3 He wanted to follow it until it stopped to see if he could see anyone that he knew but I had to get to work!

I hope you all have a fantabulous weekend and ROLL TIDE ROLL! :)

Reece may have hated the idea of tacky day yesterday but she had no problems dressing up head to toe for Alabama Day today! :)

Hodge Podge

I’m sure you’re wondering where we’ve been! And the answer is here, there and everywhere! ha!

We’ve been cheering on our team…DSC_1070

Last week when we played Arkansas I was sitting in a chair by a window. Well, the first two plays of the game were BAD, reeeeeaaally bad and I was having a fit! Josh looked at me and said, “Babe, you need to move that chair, you’re about to go through the window!” haha! Florida comes to town this weekend! I’m excited AND nervous AGAIN! We probably won’t go anywhere Friday night or Saturday…traffic is going to be nuts!

Making yummy, cute cakes…

Getting ready for our schedules to be turned upside down when hubby starts his NEW JOB MONDAY!

Getting ready for Griffin’s birthday party! Y’all know birthdays are a big deal at our house and well, I feel like I skimped all three kids for their last birthdays. Birthday party season has started at our house(October-Griff, December-Reece, January-Peyton) and I started working on the October party in August! Yep, I did. The party is next weekend and I’ve pulled out all the stops! It’s a costume party and it’s going to be SO fun! I already have in my head kind of what I’m going to do for Reece’s party and as soon as I’m done with Griff’s party, I’ll be in full planning mode for Peyton!

I’m on it!

AND and and AND!!! I’ve officially jumped ON the bandwagon with Hubby and started running! Since I was pregnant with Griffin I have really let myself go…and I know I’m not fat, but I am NOT in shape like I used to be. So I’m eating healthier…that does not mean that I am not eating fried pickles, because I will always HAVE to eat those! haha! I’m definitely cutting way back on everything. With all my grandparents having heart problems, I really need to be sure I do everything I can to prevent having problems myself! Right now I’m only running a mile, but I plan on building a lot on that so I can keep up with Officer Hubby!

Bama Babies :)

Our precious little Bama Babies!

DSC_1065

Over the weekend my parents, aunts and uncles started doing some cleaning out of my grandparents’ house. This picture of me was found…

me Uh huh that says 1/2 pound of M & M’s!!! GEEZE! No wonder I am SO addicted to Peanut M & M’s!!! Really, a 1/2 pound all to myself?? I even look like I was on a chocolate high! I was only about a year old too! haha!

I’m hoping our Labor Day weekend is WAY better than it was last year! Tonight we are going to watch my (not-so)little brother play football and we’re super excited about that! Tomorrow is game day..ROLL TIDE! That’s as far as I’ve come with the weekend planning! haha!

Roll Tide!

I don’t know about where you live but ‘round these parts football is in the air! Living in a college town is pretty fun! ESPECIALLY when your football team is superdeeduper!

4 days ‘til kickoff, tailgate food, cute crimson and houndstooth clothes, a sore throat from screaming and our ride to our 14th National Championship begins! YAY!

In other news, no football is not the ONLY thing going on right now, Reece did even better at gymnastics this week!

AND, Officer Hubby got fantastic news yesterday about his new job! I CAN NOT wait to share with you! It’s likely he’s going to have to make a HUGE decision and choose between two jobs..both in law enforcement, both very different! Oh my word, I’m so excited for him! But, the decision making will be a tad stressful, I’m sure. We’ll get through it! Better to be in this position than to not have a job at all!

Commit to Dominate the Competition!

That's what Coach Saban said to do....

And that's just what our BAMA BOYS did! Roll Tide!

The game started out way too shaky for my comfort. I think I experienced every emotion you can during that game....I screamed at the TV and had a sore throat by the end of the first quarter, I yelled and even cursed at the TV, I jumped up and down, bit all of my nails off, had a nervous twitch and I'm pretty sure I may have peed in my pants a little! ha!

Whatever. We won our 13th NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP!

Oh and I cried like a baby when it was all over! Those boys worked so hard for this, they deserve it!

Can you tell I love the Tide?!

The Elephant says....

I have lots to say, but I don't have time today! So, I'll leave you with this video of Reece! Josh's parents gave me this nifty video camera for Christmas that plugs right up to the computer! yay! My old video camera uses the small tapes so this new one is lots of fun! I got this video right before bedtime and it's a little shaky!

Is that not the cutest thing ever? I so did NOT teach her that! hee hee!

Roll Tide!

So, did I mention....

.....that when Molly escaped from our backyard last week she was in heat?? Uh huh. Expect a puppy post, I know there will be one. Craptastic.

.....that this cutie patootie swallowed a plastic snake night before last? It was about the size of a fishing lure. Ugh. Don't worry, it was in the litter box yesterday. GROSS!
.....that Griff cut a big red heart out of construction paper and wrote on it "I love mom and dad forever" on it?!?!?!

.....that we saw The Blind Side last night and it was Fantastic?!?!!? Oh my! So good! My favorite Sandra Bullock movie since 28 Days!

And last but by NO means least....

.....that our boy Mark Ingram won Alabama's first Heisman Trophy?!?!?! He deserves it so much and I am so happy and excited for him! Roll Tide! He is fabulous!

Superwoman!

I swear I must have some sort of supersonic powers! I don't know how I function doing everything I am doing right now!

But FIRST....um....I TOLD YOU WE WOULD BEAT FLORIDA! ROLL TIDE! :)

Ok.

I am doing all my normal everything being a mommy and at work. Plus the holidays are here and Reece's birthday is here and my sister is pregnant and work is really busy this time of year for me plus we just bought a sign company!! woot. So I have been head first all up in that all week. We have no idea what we are doing. So, we have to figure it out. Fun. By the way, yes we still rent houses too, sooooo thankfully the sister cares nothing about the sign company so she can pick up the slack until the baby comes. Until then, I'll be here. When he gets here.....you will see probably nothing from the C fam for a while! Because when I do have a spare minute, it will be occupied by Noah! :)
xoxo
