Piggie Probs

A few months ago our Tucker passed away. It was sudden. We didn't know anything was wrong. We still don't know what happened. I debated on whether or not I wanted another pig for a while. Then a friend posted some babies for sale on FB and well, I couldn't resist!

I put the deposit down and told her I wanted a female. No reason, just to be different I guess. The piggie was ready just before we left for Disney but they said they would keep her for me until we returned. The day after we got home I worked it out so that we could pick up the piggie! We were going to name her Minnie Pearl! :) Well, piggie was pretty upset when we got it so it rode in my lap all the way home. When we got there I put it down in the living room so we could pet it and immediately noticed that IT WAS A BOY! haha! SO, meet Romeo! :)

He's cute, right?! Yea, well, he's BUCK WILD. Like, I haven't touched him since putting him in the pen WEEKS ago. He will NOT come near any of us. :(

In the effort to not miss Tucker, this made it worse. I miss him wanting a scratch on the back and him scratching his booty on the fence post. :(

I guess I'll just keep trying with little Romeo.

Meet Lucy and Spring Break!

Oh hey! I wish I had the time to blog but I give up! Between everything going on in life right now, there's just not time. So, I'll dump pics here hopefully once a month and do a little catch up!

Since I last blogged we got a new baby! Her name is Lucy, she is a blue doberman. And she is the bomb diggity! Josh drove for about 9 hours to get her and it was love at first site for the two of them. She even goes to work with him! I swore I would NEVER EVER have a big dog in the house. But, dobermans just really don't do well outside so hubs said we weren't getting another until we could keep it inside. I still said no. Then a few months ago I really starting wanting another dobie and decided that if hubby let me have a PIG in the house then I should let him have a dog inside so the rest is history! By the way, Tucker the pig has been outside in his new fabulous pen for a few months now! :)

Here she is! Our little LuLu!

We spent most of our Spring Break at the beach with cousins! It was such a fun time!

This picture is not great at all, but it's the ONLY one I have of Griffin from the entire week! He WOULD not let me take any pictures of him. And I wasn't in the mood to make him!

One day while it was pouring rain we headed over to Pensacola to the National Aviation Museum!

The rest of the time we just beached, ate and played with pirates!

This was early one morning...the kids broke the swing the night before and they were having popsicles WAY too early in the morning and Bella was trying to get me to help her to get away! ha!

Your go!

These two!!!!! I can't even.

Now for some randoms!

I'm trying to have "date night" with my kids once a week or so! Sometimes it's hard to have one on one time and this makes it easy!

A few weeks ago Reece did a color run with her cousin for her cousin's school! They had the best time!!!

I think that about wraps it up for now! Off to work on some home study paperwork!

New Farm Babies{AGAIN!} and an Adoption Update!

Last Wednesday was an exciting day around our house! When I arrived home from work Josh was feeding all of the animals so Brooks and I went to "help"! I noticed something about Trixie, one of our pygmy goats, that may indicate she would have a baby soon! (Trying to keep it PG here!) We weren't even 100% that she was pregnant and if she was we thought it would be a while because she wasn't very big at all. Last time she had babies, back in July 2015, she was huge! After being around her for a few minutes I realized that what I saw only indicated that she had already had a baby. They were not in sight, so I just KNEW I was going to walk around the goat yard until I found a dead, stillborn baby goat. :(

I went to their little goat house and peeked inside and didn't see anything...then I looked over to the right and there was a tiny little black baby sleeping! Then I looked a little further and saw another little tan baby sleeping! EEKKSS! SURPRISE! I scooped them up and all the kids and the hubs came running to see!

Two little baby GIRLS this time!

Meet Pixie and Tink!

They are the sweetest little things!

This is one of the older ones that was born in January, but I just love this picture of him with Reece! He's the best little goat! He loves to be held or just sit in your lap!
And now for a not so great adoption update.

We received an email Friday that the home study agency that we were using has had their Hague Accreditation put on hold and we need to switch home study agencies. This means nothing to you, I know. But for us, it's huge. Our first big bump in the road. I've done A TON of paperwork that now has to been redone and some other things that will have to be redone. It's all very time consuming and now to start over? UGH!

New Farm Babies!

On Sunday, January 10th, our Foxy girl gave birth to two of the most precious little baby goats you ever did see! We were leaving for church and had been on baby watch for a couple of weeks! As we were going down our driveway the hubby saw them first! Reece and I bailed out and ran down to meet the new babies, who were super freshly born!

I love baby goats! Almost as much as baby humans! :)

Their names are Sweet Pea and Peanut Butter Cup and they are both boys!

It was a super cold day so right after church I snuggled them up in my jacket while the Hubby got a heat lamp set up for them!

They are both pretty tame, just like their momma, but the little black one is SUPER sweet! He just wants to be held anytime we are down there...and he kisses you on the cheek!

I have been wanting a piggy for a while. I wanted one a very long time ago and then decided that we have enough animals! About a year or so ago my sister started trying to talk me into it and I told her she was bat cray. A few months ago I finally decided that we needed one! haha! So, since then, I’ve been researching and researching! Finally, last week I came across this fellow and couldn’t resist! We are working on litter box training so we’ll see how that goes! He also already has his Halloween costume! :)

Fun Fourth of July and New Farm Friends

We had a fabulous Fourth of July! We spent most of the week at the beach, after getting Reece, Brooks and myself over strep throat! Yuck! There’s really no place I would rather be than watching fireworks on the beach!

You won’t see Peyton in any of these beach pictures. :( We had to make the hardest parenting decision we have EVER had to make and leave him in town. More on that later.

Other than missing Peyton, we had the best time! Playing on the beach with cousins and eating and having beach dates thanks to Paw Paw!IMG_20150705_215657

This kid…SO.MUCH.JOY!IMG_20150702_175630IMG_20150702_181531

After dinner on this night, I rode the Sky Coaster with Griffin! I rode it all the time when I was a teenager and it was time to introduce him! haha! He loves doing crazy things like this just like me so we had FUN! IMG_20150702_211426 Paw Paw called and said he was headed over with Pizza and a Piñata….so the four of us said, “See ya!” HA!IMG_20150703_171901 IMG_20150704_201533 IMG_20150704_194146

BIG NEWS from the farm!! I mentioned in my last post that we had a pregnant goat. Well, I KNEW she would have them while we were out of town! When we arrived home Reece, Brooks, Griffin and I headed to check on her….we were about halfway to their pasture and Reece squealed, “BABY GOATSSSSSSSS!” Ahhhhhhhhhhh! I practically through Brooks at Griffin because he wasn’t wearing shoes and ran and scooped those babies UP!(Terrible mother, I know.)

Have you EVER???? OH EM GEEEE! IMG_20150705_192650 Y’all!!! I’m so in love! One girl and one boy! Here’s our girl…IMG_20150708_175736   And here’s our boy…20150706_102346_resizedThey don’t have names yet…I’m trying to think of something cute and patriotic since they were born around the 4th of July! I thought about maybe Doodle and Dandy…but not sure yet! :) And since our male is not the daddy…we can keep the girl! :) Hubby says we can keep the boy too(we’ll just have to separate him). So, we’ll see! They just prance and jump and play…so fun!

We are all just smitten! :)
