Happy Birthday Brooks!

Happy Birthday to our sweet little Love Muffin, Brooks! This has been the fastest year of my life! In honor of his birthday, here’s a sneak peek from his one year photo shoot! And, no, that’s not a dress he’s wearing. This bubble was Griffin and Peyton’s and they were a lot bigger than B but I’m that Mom that has to pass down certain things that are special to me!   Happy Birthday B! We love you so much!!!

Brooks – 11 Months!

Brooks you are 11 months old! Wow, this year has flown by SO fast! You are one amazing little boy! Here’s what you’re up to this month!

- You FINALLY have a tooth! Your bottom right tooth broke through last week and the other bottom one is almost through! - I forgot to mention the words you are saying in your last monthly posts…You’ve been saying Dada for months and months, you’ve said Mama like twice(seriously kid?), you wave and say bye-bye but it’s more like dye-dye, you say ta-ta(thank you) and a few times you’ve said it when I have handed you something…you are a genius! - You and I spent our first night apart this month. Boo. I was in the hospital(another post, another day). It was not fun, but you were well taken care of!     - You still have the longest eye lashes!- You clap when we say “yay!!”- You love to play “Where’s Brooks?” and Peek a boo!

- You are eating more and more from the table. You LOVE grilled cheese sandwiches! You are still nursing but seem to be weaning, which is perfect. Looks like we’ll make it to a year and I’m proud of both of us for that!

- Still in a size 3 diapers, but I’ll buy size 4 when I buy them again! You are in mostly 12 month clothes but you can wear some 18 month.

- You are so funny when you crawl on a mission. You have your head down and move FAST! If you bump into something you usually will keep head butting it just for fun.

- You are still going to school only part of the day. I usually pick you up right after nap at 2:00. I just can’t stand to be away from you any longer than that. I can’t take it!

- You LOVE taking a bath, especially if the water is still running when you get in the tub. You have also learned to make waves and you love that too!

- You pull up on anything and everything you can! I don’t think you’ll be walking by your first birthday but you never know!

- You love the beach! - Your fav hiding spot!- At the doctor to recheck your ears…- Sissy rocked you to sleep!- Fun at the park!

I can’t believe in just a few short weeks you will be ONE! We love you sweet boy!

Mommy

Brooks – 6 Months!

Our sweet little love celebrated his 1/2 birthday yesterday! I can’t believe he is 6 months old! His little personality is really starting to show, and he’s a cool little dude!

Here’s what you’ve been up to B!

You weigh 18 pounds 7 ounces and are 27 inches long! 75th percentile on both!

You are SUPER close to sitting up all by yourself. Actually, when we took pictures last night, as long as nothing distracted you, you were sitting up perfectly!  You are mobile. You roll EVERYWHERE! Just roll, roll, rollllll!You are such a happy, good baby! You rarely cry at all. There are some days that you don’t cry not one time ALL day. You have your routine and I know when you will be ready to eat or nap so we just handle things before you get irritable! You aren’t even crying in the car anymore! YAHOO!You are still nursing like a champ! I feel like 6 months is a big milestone for breastfeeding! 6 more months to go! You are eating three meals of solids a day as well. You eat rice cereal for breakfast, one jar of food at lunch and two at dinner. You’ve tried out all the stage one foods; apples, bananas, pears, peaches, green beans, sweet potatoes, peas, prunes, carrots…I think that’s all. You REALLY like carrots! You like most of the fruits…you don’t really care for pears, got that from ME! You are sleeping ok. Some nights it’s routine and you are up at around midnight and then back up at 3:30ish. I feed you a bottle of pumped milk at midnight and you are right back to sleep. When you wake at 3:30 you nurse and we both sleep through it.  For some reason the past couple of weekends you haven’t really slept good at all. That definitely made for one tired mommy trying to keep up with four kids! I think it was just because we weren’t on the routine!You still love bath time! Sometimes you draw a crowd, everyone in the house thinks you are so funny in the tub!

You are reaching for people! And you also started trying to reach for Daisy! She’s very curious about you also!We moved up to the size 3 diapers and they are HUGE. So, you are kinda in between sizes again. You wear 6 month and 6-9 month clothes! You still have baby blue eyes and super long eyelashes. Seriously, they keep getting longer and longer! 

You like to give kisses! Like, you hold us down sometimes and just kiss and kiss and kiss! It’s presh!

Our little photo shoot would not have been possible without the help of your favorite sister! You LOVE Sissy! And, the feeling is mutual! Actually, you think your brothers are awesome too! I most definitely have lots of help! A few pictures from my phone from this month…

I’m sure you’ve all heard about Olivia. I meant to do a post on her, but haven’t had the time. She went to high school with my brother…they were both seniors. At the football game the Friday after her accident everyone wore purple for her! It’s kinda hard to find a way to dress a boy baby in purple(especially when everyone already thinks he’s a girl!) so we made a purple do-rag. Brooks and Cason are ready for Halloween! Cute little toot! Happy 6 months sweet lil fella! We love you!

Brooks – 5 Months!

Five months have flown by and you are sweeter than ever Love Muffin!

Here’s what you’re up to these days!

This month you started solids! So far you’ve had rice cereal, apples, bananas, green beans and sweet potatoes! Green beans are not your favorite, in fact, they make you gag. Bless. You still nurse well but you are starting to be a little easily distracted while nursing! You like to hold my fingers and prop your feet on me while you nurse. Just all kicked back and relaxed!

Still in a size 2 diaper, still in 3-6 and 6 months clothes.

Still have those baby blue eyes, I KNOW they are here to stay! :) and so are those plump little kissable lips and long eyelashes. This must be why EVERY.SINGLE.TIME a stranger talks to you they refer to you as “she”. I’ve just stopped correcting them at this point! You’re just pretty.

And, hey, Reece and I had a little fun putting a bow in your hair! You ARE a pretty little girl! HAHAHA!

You are finally starting to get a little more hair! I can’t wait for a baby mohawk! Griffin and Peyton will be jealous!

You have turned into a little roly poly this month! Rolling over both ways! AND trying to get those knees under you to crawl. You are already pushing yourself, if you had your hands under you you would be crawling. You have three older siblings and PLACES TO GO!

I tried to take the pictures like I did last month with your name but you had better things to do!

You still LOVE LOVE LOVE to take a bath.

Car rides are MUCH better these days. You rarely cry in the car now and if you do, I know why!

You still like to give kisses!

I think you may be a lefty like Daddy!

You LOVE the jumperoo! You have the best time jumping in that thing! You also like to sit and watch Griffin, Peyton and Reece in it!     

You watched your first Bama game this month! You learned real fast that Mommy acts like a maniac during ball games! You didn’t mind!

You two LOVE each other. HARD. And I love it!

Happy 5 months, sweet boy! You’ve made my heart complete!
