Happy Birthday Peyton!

On January 21st, Peyton turned 15!! Just like that, we have TWO teenage drivers in our house. YIKES! haha! He was out of school on his birthday and the DMV was closed for MLK Day. We had dinner at a Japanese restaurant(my kids and their love for Japanese food! haha!). The next day Josh took him to take the test to get his driving permit. He passed and now wants to drive every.where.

The following weekend we took Peyton and a few friends to AutoBahn. This is what he wanted to do instead of a party! It's an indoor go-kart track. BUT, unlike any other. Those jokers go FAST. You have to get a license, wear a helmet and whatnot. They all had the best time, including the hubs!

Football and Cheer

We are well into this year's football season! Peyton is playing JV and Varsity football. Well, they only had one JV game :( He was able to start and play that entire game and had the best time! Unfortunately for him, he got the rough end of the deal when it comes to football. Last year, when he was in 8th grade he would have been able to start all the games with it being his last year in middle school. Well, the team was dissolved due to not having enough players. We had a not so great coach at the time and people didn't want to play for him. Last year he was bumped to varsity and it was good for him but also sad because he had put in so much to not be able to play. This year has been better for sure! I really love our coaching staff! They care about our kids. They pray with them and they strive to teach them. They are what I think coaches should be! I've seen our head coach put his arm around Peyton's shoulder more than once to just talk to him. I'm thankful. And, our team is better because of it! We have a very young school and the football team has had to grow from nothing. So far we have a winning record this year and school spirit is really on the rise in our community! :)

Reece is cheering for our youth league again this year! They just finished up their games and they are preparing for cheer competition!

On Sunday Peyton turned 14!!

WHAT!

We celebrated him at Upsurge, our local trampoline park! The kids had lots of fun. I don't think I've ever heard Peyton laugh so much! I tried my best not to cringe the entire time because GERMS.

After the party we went to eat at a local Japanese restaurant. We always take the kids out on their birthday and they get to pick where! :)

It's true when people say you blink and your kids are grown. Fourteen years have FLOWN by!

I'm behind on all the things.

On January 21st our Peyton turned 13!!! Holy moly, two teenagers in our house! We celebrated with friends and family that day at our local trampoline park called Upsurge. The kids had a great time but the place was WAY too crowded. I wasn't happy paying that much money and not being able to fully enjoy it. Nonetheless, we partied!

After the party, Peyton wanted Japanese food and so off we went to Kobe. Mia was happy with his choice! haha! It was delicious!

(don't get me started on the cookie co. and their inability to get an order correct)

Time for Football!

Man. I'm feeling old today. Griffin and Peyton have their first football game tonight!  I'm nervous and excited and freaking my freak. I'm terrified, really. They have been practicing since May, so hopefully they are prepared. Yes, all summer. In the 975 degree heat.

Our school is not very old, so the football programs are very young. I could care less if we win any games(of course I want them to win, for their sake) I just don't want them to get hurt. I hope they learn to love the sport and take all their frustrations out on the field! ha!

Please excuse their hair and sweaty-ness! This was right after they got home from practice last night and I was all like, "OH MY GAHHHHHH, look at y'all in your jersey's!!!!" Followed by lots of eye rolling and, "DO NOT PUT THIS ON INSTAGRAM!" haha! These two make me laugh everyday! :)

Back to School!

The kiddos went back to school today! Griffin is in 8th grade, Peyton is in 7th grade and Reece is in 3rd grade! She's all, "When I'm in 5th grade, Brooks will be in Kindergarten!" STOP IT!

Most moms are all  But, I'm all  I used to be in that other mom club. But every year I love summer more and more. It's those couple of months that we get to hog our kids all to ourselves and not have to share them with school. We do what we want and we don't have to be responsible!  Plus, this is Griff's last year of middle school. Boo to THAT! My kids are the bomb diggity and I miss them already!

Happy 12th Birthday Peyton!!

How he is already 12? Sheesh, time flies! Peyton is one awesome dude! He loves playing the trombone in the band, playing his x box, wrestling with Griffin, aggravating Reece and teaching Brooks fun stuff like fist bumping!

He is having his 3rd annual paintball party on Saturday! Seriously, the kid loves paintball! Hopefully we won't FREEZE!

Tonight, he wants to eat Japanese so that's just what we'll do!

Peyton the Trombonist!

Back when Peyton was so sick with Mono, he missed instrument selection night for band at school. Supposedly he wasn’t contagious at the time but he still felt HORRIBLE and I just didn’t feel comfortable sharing instruments with a bunch of other kids just in case. Because mono is the devil and we didn’t want to share. The band director is fabulous and he said he would just test him in class. He wanted to play percussion because what boy doesn’t? But that was full, he sounded really great on the trombone(per the director, he is so excited about this!) so the trombone it is! If you hear scary noises coming from our house at night, no worries, we’re just learning to play! #forrealthough #scary

Before we know it, he’ll be playing some tunes!

Back to School, BOO HOO!

The kids went back to school yesterday! I’m really sad about it. I miss them like CRAZY. It’s lonely without them around. Plus, now we have to be responsible parents and make them go to bed on time, do their homework and take regular baths! HA!

Baseball Champs!

Another season of baseball is in the books for us! Whew. I feel like I can breathe now. We stay SO SO busy during baseball season…go go go go! And that’s just with one child playing! We wrapped up playing last Saturday. We ended up playing two games back to back so we were there for six hours. That’s a lot for a 2 year old. We sat through the blazing sun and the pouring rain but we WON so Champions we are!

This was our Coach’s last year to coach after 14 years and his only 1st Place win! :)     I have no clue where Griffin was! Ha! Brooks is ALL UP in the coach’s talk! I LOVE this picture. Brother love!And on a side note…Brooks LOVES LOVES LOVES baseball! He has a bat that he drags EVERYWHERE….in the car, to bed, etc. He has a tee that we were letting him hit off of…then one night at the ballpark some of the kids started tossing it to him AND HE CAN HIT IT! Uh, he just turned 2! He can’t wait to play! :)
