I am so tired, I can't even think of a title for this! HA! It's been another crazy week at our house! Monday, Hubby had his test with the UA - he passed and had an interview that same day. Hopefully we will here something from them SOON! He had a test with Northport today and passed it as well. One of the two better call soon! Wednesday was Baby Girl's 6 month check up. It went well other than the shots....that afternoon G-man started complaining about his ear..again. Wednesday night there was a storm that came through that blew over several trees and knocked out our power for 4 hours! That down right sucked....try entertaining a 6 month old baby who had a fever and felt like crap from her shots and two busy little boys, one of which had a sore ear. Hubby was at work, so that left me. I kept thinking that the power would be back on soon because Alabama Power at first said it would be back on at 8:30, then they said 9:30 and finally they said 1:30 AM!! Thank heavens it came back on around 10:00. It was SO hot and the boys were going crazy without the power, they were asleep by the time it came back on. By Thursday at lunch G-man was running a temp and you could not get anywhere near his ear without him crying...poor baby. So, off to the doctor I went with him. His appointment was at 3:15 and Thursday is my BUSY day at in no time to spare whatsoever let alone leaving for a while, so I knew that I would somehow have to work late. Allison and Brad volunteered themselves to keep ALL THREE of the kiddos since I needed to work and Hubby was at work. TALK ABOUT BIRTH CONTROL! HA! She has a little story herself about the afternoon...see the McMichael blog. G-man has an ear infection. Poor little guy, he is in so much pain. Hopefully he will be better by tonight. We have a busy weekend ahead! Marley's 1st birthday party tomorrow and tons of other "weekend stuff"!

Boss Lady

This is our boss.

However, she was caught sleeping on the job!

Fun Times at Mimi & Pop's

We had a little get together at Mimi & Pop's house Monday night. The sad thing was that Daddy couldn't be there because he had to work. :( But, we still had fun! It was Baby Girl's first time to actually get in a swimming pool. At first she wasn't sure but then she was ok with it. G-man officially decided that he doesn't need floaties anymore! He is such a little fish! AND A DAREDEVIL!!! That child is not afraid of anything...which is scary! The pics towards the bottom are funny because G-man, Uncle Brad and Uncle Douglas got into a little competition..and of course, G-man wouldn't be outdone! It was hilarious!

The Competition Begins....

Just before the "Moon Bug" of which I REALLY wish I had a pic!

We're not in T-Ville anymore!!

Since Hubby is now working for the big town of Vance, we decided to go to the town picnic this past Saturday. Let me just say that it didn't take me long to realize that we weren't in T-ville anymore. WOW. We were there for about 5 minutes and I don't think I have EVER felt so out of place! Needless to say, we B-lined it outta there! We went down the street to the elementary school and played on their playground. We got a few great pictures!

Josh returned that night for the chief's retirement party. And guess who was there?!? None other than the great Chief Swindle. They chatted for a few minutes..whatever..I wish I would have been there. (I know, I know, I am all talk...I wouldn't have said anything to the man, but it sounded good!)

Father's Day

Josh had his Father's Day breakfast with the boys today at school. It was a come and go type of thing and both classes were having it at the same time so he really didn't have an opportunity for pictures. :( But, they always do these fill-in-the-blank sheets for the dads and I thought that I would share what the boys said about their daddy...who, by the way, is the best daddy in the world!

My daddy is the most wonderful daddy in the world. He is as handsome as a ---lion---. He is as strong as a ---building---. He can lift ---13--- pounds and is ---10--- feet tall. His favorite food is ---tuna---. His favorite activity is ---sleeping all day---. In the good old days when Daddy was little he used to ---go to the beach and play with Uncle Matt---. I think my Daddy is funny when he ---makes funny faces---. I know my Daddy is really mad when he ---spanks me---. I wish my Daddy would ---play Lincoln Logs---with me everyday. I would not trade Daddy for ---my house---.

Master P

My daddy's name is ---Josh---. He is ---10--- feet tall and weighs ---15---pounds. His hair is ---black--- and his eyes are ---blue---. Even though he is ---10--- years old, he still looks good. I help my daddy by ---taking out the trash---. When we are at home my daddy and I ---play---. The best thing about my daddy is ---his trophies---. I love my daddy because ---I do---. But he gets really mad when I ---hit---. When I am really good he gives me ---candy---. While I am at school he ---is at work---. I am glad he is my daddy because ---I am supposed to---.

How sweet were those?!?! I love their innocence!

Man o man...this is depressing! I just found a few pics of the boys when they were little...I mean TINY! It makes me sad because it seems like yesterday that they were born! And here G-man is about to start Kindergarten. Try not to cry all you grandmommies...I am shedding enough tears for us all!

This is G-man at about 7 months old giving himself a breathing treatment....remember he had to take these at least twice per day for the first two years of his little life! See how much Baby Girl looks like him in this one!

This was when Master P was about 3 months old and G-man was 18 months.

G-man was two in this one and yes, still sucking that darn pappy!

Master P at Christmas, he turned two the next month!

Master P was almost two in this one as well.

Hope you enjoyed the look back! I will post more oldies when I get a chance!

The Finger.

Geeeeeeze! I am learning so much from these two boys! Last night Josh and I were cuddled up on the couch watching Juno(very good movie, btw) when we heard some yelling back and forth between the boys. Neither one of us budged. That's pretty normal about once a day at our house. Just a little brotherly love. Until.....we heard Master P screaming to the top of his lungs. He came running in the living room to me, I took one glance at his finger...OH HEAVENS~it's broke! Josh looked at it and agreed. G-man had smashed it in the bathroom door. You could see the bone!!! I thought I was going to throw up!!! NO kidding! Normally that kind of thing doesn't bother me, but this time it did! So, Josh took control of the situation while I called mom to come and look at it. As it started to swell Josh and Mom decided that it wasn't broken. I wasn't so sure. And I wouldn't be able to sleep until it was looked at. Thankfully Med-South stays open until 10pm so I didn't have to take him to the ER. We were in and out of there in about an hour. The doc took an x-ray and it's not broken. Sorry, no pics, the camera was at the office.

By the way, if you are ever bored, come to the our house! We pretty much run a three ring circus! If we are not swallowing change, we're smashing fingers! Cheap entertainment! HA!
