Working Hard or Hardly Working??

Our server crashed at our office over the weekend. All of our computers run off of it. We can use our computers for emails and such but the big programs we use to do everyday things are on the server…that’s been in the hospital since yesterday morning!

It had to be wiped completely clean and all of our files had to be restored. Fun times. We should have it back in the morning! I sure hope so because I can’t stand being behind like this!!

So today the sister and I tackled an office project! We decided our dry erase board needed an Extreme Makeover! See all those little lines??We scrubbed them all off! And what fun would we be without a self portrait??!!

Last week...

Last week was a week! So busy, so stressful! As you read from my post last Monday, that's how it all started off! The next day I almost had to use my new trusty taser gun thingamagig on an irrate tenant that was in our office yelling and screaming to the top of her lungs at my pregnant sister. I don't play! Thankfully our office is directly across the street from the police department :) so that doesn't happen often!

AND DENNNNNNNNN........

The next day we had a set out...and let me just give you a little schpill before you go thinking we're mean landlords! This particular tenant moved in last summer when we were running a move-in special...he had to pay a deposit and his first month's rent was free. So, once he was approved, he paid his deposit and moved in. Then two months go by and he doesn't pay anything.....finally we got a check from him. It bounced. We turned it over to the District Attorney. Then he pays no more rent and we ended up having to file an eviction...and AND AND..we try everything in our power to not file evictions on people. I'm talking chance after chance after chance! So now if you haven't read about it go to the sister's blog.

Bite Me!

Grrr. Today is not the day. If you know me in real life, you may want to stay away! Our leasing agent texted in...not CALLED in, she texted. That does not make me happy. And I really don't care if she sees this because I plan to tell her myself anyway. I have a TON of work to do, year end stuff, first of the year stuff, new sign company stuff...the list goes on and on. And I HAVE to stay on top of all this because my sister is having a baby any freakin day now....which apparently someone forgot.

And, no, it's not that time of the month at all. In fact I don't even have that but every three months thanks to my happy pill.(which isn't working, apparently!)

Stay away, I will bite!

I swear I must have some sort of supersonic powers! I don't know how I function doing everything I am doing right now!

But FIRST....um....I TOLD YOU WE WOULD BEAT FLORIDA! ROLL TIDE! :)

Ok.

I am doing all my normal everything being a mommy and at work. Plus the holidays are here and Reece's birthday is here and my sister is pregnant and work is really busy this time of year for me plus we just bought a sign company!! woot. So I have been head first all up in that all week. We have no idea what we are doing. So, we have to figure it out. Fun. By the way, yes we still rent houses too, sooooo thankfully the sister cares nothing about the sign company so she can pick up the slack until the baby comes. Until then, I'll be here. When he gets here.....you will see probably nothing from the C fam for a while! Because when I do have a spare minute, it will be occupied by Noah! :)

I'm Back!

Sorta Kinda.

I would like to direct your attention here. This is what Allison and I had to deal with first thing this morning. Fun stuff. The next time someone tells you, "section 8 guarantees landlords rent" you think of us. 'Cause that ain't so! This particular tenant was not on section 8, but this gives you a great example of what we deal with when it comes to low income people that we mostly deal with! Was that rude?? I didn't mean it to be.

I really thought about going home and taking another shower when we left this house. It's not anywhere near the worst house we've been in and turned but it's still pretty bad!

I'm still working on that other post about my grandmother...I've got to round up some pictures that I want to include!

Whew!

Overwhelmed??? Just a tad.


I don't even know where to begin! We've been so busy I can't even think straight! Be warned that this post is full of randomness!(is that even a word?!)

Work has been super duper busy. The first of the month is the busiest time for me and the whole office for that matter. That added to the fact that we have a new employee to get trained=no time to think! I seriously looked up and it was Friday!


Home has been just as busy! Monday night Josh had court. Tuesday night I had bunco. Wednesday night I HAD to go to the grocery store. Thursday night I don't even remember! Tonight....NOTHING! Saturday night-- family birthday party. Sunday afternoon--open house for the boys. Monday--something I can't remember. Tuesday--school starts(AND I have a mental breakdown!) Next Thursday my friend Jamie's little boy, Huston, is having a minor surgery...his first birthday party is next Saturday at the same time of my niece's 2nd birthday party!!! How's THAT gonna work??!?!?


Screeeeeeeeeeeeeeech! Brakes please!

Bad Blogger

I know! But, we've just been SO freakin' busy! Baseball, Baseball, Baseball, Reece has been sick, sick, sick, we are trying to find a new maintenance person at work, work, work....the list goes on and on and on! But, we love every minute of it!

Have you seen Allison's blog today? We have interviews ALLLLL day today and I walked in the door to the office looked at her and just laughed....we have on the exact same shirt! Nice. And, there's no time to run home and change or to be blogging for that matter!

There will be baseball pictures soon. Josh and Peyton are on a field trip to the zoo today...pics to come on that one too! I wish I was with them!
