Labor Day Weekend!

We had a fun weekend! Friday we went to watch my little brother play football! I LOVE high school football, almost as much as college! Noah learned to say “Go Bears!”.Saturday we hung out playing with the chickens waiting for the big game! Oh, and this is when we discovered a stray chicken hanging out around our coop!! Griffin the chicken whisperer caught it and put it inside the coop with our other chickens. I know you can’t see that very well but it’s the best I could get! She likes to run. All.the.time! run run run run I started calling her roadrunner because she is always in a full blown sprint!  Later that day we went to check on her and the other chickens were picking on her. I decided to let her out of the coop because I was afraid they were going to kill her. But, she’s still hanging around in our yard! I figured between the dogs chasing her and the chickens being mean she would leave. But, no.

Also, the rooster flogged Reece on Sunday. (didn’t hurt her, just scared the crap out of both of us!)So he’ll be someone’s winner winner chicken dinner very soon! I am very shocked that I didn’t kill him as many times as I kicked him.

Ok, so back on track here. We beat the holy crap out of Michigan! Roll Tide! I’m ready for #15!

Since the boys had to go to school yesterday, Reece and I had a girls day! We shopped and shopped, then picked up the boys from school and shopped some more! It’s been a LONG time since I have shopped that much in one day! HA! I hated the boys had to go to school but I love one on one time with my girl! :)

Telling Griffin & Happy Birthday(s)!

Today is my sister, Kelsie’s, 21st Birthday!!!!! For real. 2-1. Game over, I’m old. Happy Birthday Kels-Kels! We LOVE you!

Today is also my sweet little nephew’s birthday!! I just love that little bug. He’s a mess! He luffs his TayTay! I can’t believe he is TWO! Allison and I took cupcakes to school for him today and he was SO excited! He kept saying, “Happy Birthday!!” like a million times! :)

A few days ago I blogged about Griffin’s teacher passing away. I really wanted to tell him this week because he is spending the night with one of his friends from his old school tomorrow night and I’m sure that little boy knows since he still goes to that school. I didn’t want him to go to his house and not know and it come up and him find out at his friends house. So I planned to tell him before Friday.

Well when I got home on Tuesday he came running up to me and said he had bad news. I thought he got in trouble at school or something. When I asked him what it was he said, “Mrs. Dover died.” And then he cried. He was upset but not near as bad as I thought he would be. I told him that Josh and I knew but just hadn’t told him yet and asked how he found out.

Are you ready for this? His substitute teacher told him.

Now. I was a little mad at first. Who does that?

The sub was also a sub at the school he used to go to and so she put two and two together and then told Griffin. I don’t know. I just don’t understand why she thought that was a good idea. If she thought we didn’t know then she should have called me??? I’m not mad because I am sure she didn’t intentionally mean to hurt him. And she obviously didn’t realize how tenderhearted he is and how much he LOVED her. And if I would have told him sooner then he wouldn’t have found out from her either. So it’s my fault too.

Nonetheless, he knows now.

The next day I sent his teacher a note because I knew he would be upset. And sure enough at 10:30 yesterday morning the counselor called me. He had been with her that morning and written a letter to Ms. Dover and put it in a balloon and let it go outside. That helped for a few minutes and then he was back to crying so hard he couldn’t do his work. So they asked that I just come get him and let him stay with me for the day. Which of course was fine with me!

When I picked him up his little eyes were SO swollen. :(

We had lunch and then we got a cupcake! Then we went to Toys r Us :) After about an hour or so he cheered up and by last night he was back to normal and fighting with his brother! :)

Tay Tay is the FAVORITE!

My little nephew is the cutest little guy. He calls me Tay Tay, Josh is Uncle Josh(he really can say it!) and Griffin, Peyton and Reece are coushins(cousins)! Love.

Yesterday I brought him one of those little pink snowball cakes and sent it home from work with Allison. A little while later I got this picture!

First Night!

Yesterday was CRAZY! The first Thursday of every month is usually my SUPER busy day…and it was! PLUS I had to visit my OB/GYN for my yearly check up so that threw things off. OH and about an hour before my appointment Allison and I were coming back to the office after lunch and heard a noise in my car. We looked and there was a big chunk of metal in my tire..so I had to drop off my car at the tire place to be fixed and take her car to my appointment! Not to mention that that yearly appointment is just not fun.

My afternoon got a little more exciting when Officer Hubby called to tell me that we would be spending the night in our new house! He has worked his butt off all week getting things moved!(With the help of my Daddy, Brother and his Dad!)

Most of our things are moved in and we spent a little time putting things away. Josh was in the laundry room and heard the breaker for the hot water heater flip…then we smelled smoke!!! Freaked my freak! So we turned it off and the smoke smell went away. Then poor hubs had to spend about an hour convincing me that the house was NOT going to burn down last night and that it was ok for us to stay there!

We were SO excited about being in our new house! Maybe a little too excited because none of us could wind down enough to get to sleep at a decent hour. It was probably close to 11 when the kids and I crashed on the couch watching The Jungle Book! Sometime around 11:30ish Josh put all the kids in bed and woke me up so that we could get in bed. Then we tossed and turned for a while and maybe drifted off to sleep a little when I heard Reece crying. I jumped out of bed and couldn’t see a dang thing!!!!

The country is freakin’ dark folks!

DARK!

So I felt my way around until I found a light switch and ran to check on her. She was kind of crying in her sleep so I laid with her until she was asleep good again. I don’t really want to start a habit of sleeping with her so I went back to our bed. About an hour later she was crying again. And again I made my way to her room and she was shaking and crying!!!! :( Apparently she was having a bad dream so I took her to our bed where we all slept peacefully for the few hours that were left of the night.

Judge me if you want, I don’t care! My sleep is IMPORTANT! :)

This morning I woke up to get ready for work and had to take a cold shower because of the hot water heater being jacked up. That was fun.

Reece woke up and came in the bathroom where I was showering and was just talking about random things and then she said, “I hope those mens who shot us are gone!”

ohhh emmm geee!!!!

She WAS having a nightmare!!! Poor baby! I felt so bad for her! And I am even more glad that I just let her sleep with us last night.

Our sweet baby nephew is spending the night tonight! Here’s to it being WAY less stressful than last night!!!

Hodge Podge

I’m sure you’re wondering where we’ve been! And the answer is here, there and everywhere! ha!

We’ve been cheering on our team…

Last week when we played Arkansas I was sitting in a chair by a window. Well, the first two plays of the game were BAD, reeeeeaaally bad and I was having a fit! Josh looked at me and said, “Babe, you need to move that chair, you’re about to go through the window!” haha! Florida comes to town this weekend! I’m excited AND nervous AGAIN! We probably won’t go anywhere Friday night or Saturday…traffic is going to be nuts!

Getting ready for our schedules to be turned upside down when hubby starts his NEW JOB MONDAY!

Getting ready for Griffin’s birthday party! Y’all know birthdays are a big deal at our house and well, I feel like I skimped all three kids for their last birthdays. Birthday party season has started at our house(October-Griff, December-Reece, January-Peyton) and I started working on the October party in August! Yep, I did. The party is next weekend and I’ve pulled out all the stops! It’s a costume party and it’s going to be SO fun! I already have in my head kind of what I’m going to do for Reece’s party and as soon as I’m done with Griff’s party, I’ll be in full planning mode for Peyton!

AND and and AND!!! I’ve officially jumped ON the bandwagon with Hubby and started running! Since I was pregnant with Griffin I have really let myself go…and I know I’m not fat, but I am NOT in shape like I used to be. So I’m eating healthier…that does not mean that I am not eating fried pickles, because I will always HAVE to eat those! haha! I’m definitely cutting way back on everything. With all my grandparents having heart problems, I really need to be sure I do everything I can to prevent having problems myself! Right now I’m only running a mile, but I plan on building a lot on that so I can keep up with Officer Hubby!

Bad Stranger Day

Do you ever have a bad stranger day? I do. You know, where everyone just ticks you off! I had one of those on Monday. I was in a fantastic mood that day but everyone just seemed to want to change that.

Griffin had an appointment with his therapist. Josh and I decided a long time ago that he didn’t need therapy…he’s fine, a happy go lucky little guy and he’s doing great with his ADHD medication. So, I called to cancel his appointment. Now, every time I call or come in contact with the staff in this office(ADHD doctors office, not pediatricians office) I have issues. They are either rude or make me feel like I don’t know what I’m talking about. I’m his mom, I know him best. When I canceled the appointment the rude hefer on the phone told me that there was going to be a $50 charge for canceling. Um, no. You are not going to charge me $50 for canceling something I didn’t need in the first place. AND I’m going to find him another doctor, thankyouverymuch!

Then, Allison and I went to Sam’s to buy some things for the office. ahem, mt. dew. She was pushing Noah in the stroller and I was pushing a buggy full of Mt. Dew and bottled water. SEE we ARE healthy sometimes! She was weaving in and out of isles and I was trying to keep up. We came to an isle we needed to go down and there was a big ole buggy blocking the way. So, I patiently stood there while the woman got her stuff and talked to her friend. I waited and waited and waited, then she moved her buggy. Thank goodness, now I can go. Nope, then she blocked the isle with her big butt. So, I politely tried to squeeze through(and I’m not very big!) and she saw me but didn’t move. I said, “excuse me” as sweet as I could and she gave me a go to hell look. ugh. whatever.

Then, we stopped by Wal-Mart so that I could run in and get something. I was standing in the line minding my own business when a group of college boys walked up behind me. Then out of nowhere they started pushing me with their buggy! LIKE across the store…moving me! So, I turned around and said, not so nicely(I was fed up with strangers by this point!), “EXCUSE ME! YOU ARE PUSHING ME WITH YOUR BUGGY!” GAH! Well, they stopped, but then they talked about me…whatever. If I hadn’t said anything they really would have run me over! Their momma didn’t teach them right I guess!

I’m off to get some sugar from this little guy….

He’s sitting on my desk in his bumbo supervising me typing this post right now! He’s so presh!

Working with Auntie A!

I love working with Auntie. She snuggles me all day long and gets all of my sugar! I really like her...I don't even pee on her! I think she is fantastic! She looks kinda tired today because it stormed here last night and she didn't sleep very well.

Life Right Now...

VERY hectic, but we love it!

We are very busy bees. The boys started baseball practice last weekend. We are playing at the park close to our house this year(I don't want to say where but I want you family members to understand!) It appears that they both got on jam up great teams! I'm thankful for that! Two different teams this year...that's how it will fall every other year due to their ages! It makes it more hectic having double of everything but I think it's good for them to have their own teams and have their individual time!

Reece is about to start swim lessons. That girl is a total fish, she'll probably be swimming this year. Not even kidding you!

Allison came back to work on Monday, Noah in tow. THANK THE LORD. I was strung out around the office! The timing of her coming back couldn't have been better for me because the day she came back we got slammed with a whole bunch of new construction houses to build! YAY for that but, it makes me slammed just with my normal job! We also had several people move out of our rental houses and they needed to be turned....SO her job! I no likey! Noah loves sitting in his Auntie's lap all day. I'm his favorite! hee hee!

We love Noah!

When you are cooped up in the house you get a little stir crazy! Allison and Brad were itching to get out of the house and were really missing church so I volunteered us to keep Woah(that's what Reece calls him still!) yesterday morning. He was a perfect angel! I know y'all think that he's going to give me baby fever but, actually he's kind of cured my baby fever for now! I already had it before he was born and now that I can love him and give him back I'm good! But I did figure out that having another child would be a breeze! We can definitely handle another one! There was really nothing to it, it was like he's here all the time!

Kiddies meet Noah!

Last night we took the kids to meet Noah. They've been begging all week! When I got home from the hospital Tuesday night the boys actually thought I was bringing Allison and the baby home with me for some reason and were highly disappointed! As much as Reece has talked about "Woah" for the last several months, she wanted NOTHING to do with him last night! Would not hardly look at him! ha!

I on the other hand, could eat him up.....

He doesn't really like to have his picture taken!

When we left I was talking to the boys and asking them if they thought he was cute. Griffin yelled from the back of the car, "YES, I love that baby to DEATH! I had NO idea he was gonna be THAT cute!" ha!

Welcome to the world Noah!

There's nothing like a newborn baby! And you haven't lived until you've seen a baby born into this world! It's so amazing! And it was even more amazing for me this time because I wasn't the one having to push it out! ha! Allison is doing really good, she says it was a piece of cake! I have decided that if you are going to be induced, the ticket is waiting until as close as you can to your due date. My water broke with Griffin at 38 weeks and I had to be induced because of that, then I was induced with Peyton at 38 weeks as well. Those were two HARD labors! With Reece I was induced right at 39 weeks and here is Allison being induced days before her due date and those two were easy! So, there you go! Just my take on things! Allison will have her birth story up as soon as she can muster up the energy....and as soon as I get to the hospital to hog my nephew! :)

Sooo, I'm sure most of you have figured out by now that my little nephew will be here tomorrow! :) yay! Can. Not. Wait! Allison plans to blog throughout the day so I will not be blogging. No sense in blogging about the same thing in two different places! If for some reason she doesn't feel like it or something comes up, I'll update! I do plan to update my tweets and maybe my facebook! So you can check there!

I realized that I never put our pictures from the cirus on here! We had such a fun time!

Some old creepy man tried to coax me and Reece into the men's bathroom at Wal-Mart yesterday. Talk about freakin your freak. Little did he know that IF I had been dumb enough to go anywhere near him I would have killed him right there in the bathroom! My little taser is definitely coming to good use! ha!

Our baby wall is complete....for now anyway!

I had to buy new frames for the boys' pictures so that all three would match and last night the hubby got them all hung! And, yes, there's room for more. But not right now....BECAUSE IT'S MY SISTER'S TURN!!!!!!! I'm sure you have all figured it out by now but we couldn't officially say anything until today....after her first doctor's appointment. So, around Valentine's Day, I will be an aunt again...holding a sweet little one in my arms!

Sweet Tiny Reece

Everyone wants it to be a girl and everyone has their own reasons. My reason is selfish...so Reece has a playmate. If it's a boy, she will still have a playmate but Griffin and Peyton have each other so we need another girl. And I need somewhere for all these cute girly things to go!

But, when everyone got to the office this morning....we ALLLLLL had on blue! How did that happen? (for those of you who don't already know, Allison and I work together) Anyway, be it a girl or a boy, this little one is coming into a family with a ton of love waiting on it!

Update-I just realized that it sounded kind of funny saying that Reece needs a girl playmate and I already have a sweet baby niece,Elaina. I absolutely have not forgotten about her...it's just that Allison and I are together ALL THE TIME so this baby will be around Reece all the time too!
