Back to School

Y'all know how I feel about this! ALL of our babies are now in school! Griffin started his 11th grade year-I'm seriously having probs with this. Peyton started his 10th grade year! Reece started her 6th grade year AND middle school! Brooks started 1st grade and Mia started Pre-K! OH and hubby started his 3rd year driving a school bus for our middle and high school! Here they all are on the first day of school!
I never had a bus driver HALF this cool!

 My heart hurts that this time next year he'll be a senior!

 Peyton is loving football! Right now we are deep in the droves of looking for a car for him! He'll be 16 in January!

 Reece is going to rock middle school! I'm so excited for her because they got a brand new school!

 Baby toot got in to the pre-k program at our elementary school. Brooks is loving having her there and looking out for her!

 Love them more than they will ever know!

 This, my friends, is real life! haha!

Washington, DC Trip!

Reece and I recently took a whirlwind trip with the Ambassadors of her school to Washington, DC! It was a fun trip! We saw all the things and did all the things! haha! I have never been so tired in my life! It was totally worth it! I think everyone should visit at least once! We both learned a ton!!

Kindergarten Grad!

Last Thursday was Brooks' kindergarten graduation!! I can't believe this year has flown by so fast! He has grown and learned so much this year. He is reading! For me as a mom, nothing makes me more excited than when my kids start to read! I don't know why, but it feels like my heart melts every time. I think because we work so hard to get there and then finally do, it's rewarding! Anyway, he has just grown so much. He was awarded leader of the month at graduation. This was HUGE for him. In the fall he was constantly in trouble. After Christmas, we turned the corner and he's hardly been in trouble since! Bet you $5 he gets in trouble today since I said that! haha! So getting leader of the month was HUGE! He also received a reading award and was awarded "Most Likely to Invent Something Awesome" which is SO HIM! He's always coming up with things! haha!

Life Lately

The end of the school year is upon us! HECK TO THE YES!!!!! This is my VERY favorite time of year! It is warming up outside and we are about to have almost no school responsibilities!! AH yes! The end of the school year brings SO many activities, here's what we've been up to lately!

Brooks and Mia both had field trips to the zoo! I went with B and Josh went with Mia! The trips were two days apart and I was super thankful my hubby didn't mind taking one of the trips! One is enough! haha!

Allison and I took Reece to the Carrie Underwood concert! It was amazing! She put on an awesome show! We she announced the tour back in the fall we thought it would be a fun end of year/end of elementary school treat for Reece! The day tickets went on sale I bought what I knew would be super awesome seats! There were two opening acts which we skipped because we are extra. When we arrived to our seats there was only one row in front of us, I thought there would be four. I front of that row were several empty chairs. Everyone was pretty much there at that point so I wondered what was going on. Then the lights went dark, Carrie started singing and I looked up to see Mike Fisher(Carrie's hubby if you live under a rock!) and their TWO babies walking to those seats! Y'all, they sat right in front of us! It was such a treat to see them. Little Isiah was singing and dancing to his mommy singing...I can not even! Baby Jacob slept through the entire thing!:) It was a fun night, one Reece won't forget!

I went with Griffin to his soccer banquet! That was a fun night! I'm so thankful he has found a sport he loves!

Griffin and Peyton had their spring band concert. Look how tall my boys are! Sheesh! Griffin doesn't love band anymore but Peyton is in the jazz band and killing it!

Mother's day! At the beach because it was about ME! :) I love these kids to their bones!

Brooks and Reece had their annual color trot at school! I always help with throwing color and end up covered myself! haha!

 

That's about 1/4 of life lately! HAHA!

Anniversary and Honors Day!

On May 18th we celebrated our 16th Wedding Anniversary! We were SUPER busy that week and actually only got to eat a quick lunch together in a flip house to celebrate! We are taking a trip next week ALONE and I can NOT wait! #byekids

 During the last week of school Reece had her honors day program at school! We have been blessed with really smart kids..they all make really good grades! Reece was also recently asked to be an ambassador for her school for next year! She is very excited about that because it wasn't an easy task. She had to fill out an application, answer a questionnaire, write an essay, get three teacher references AND be interviewed by a panel of four complete strangers! We are SO proud of her!

Brooks is a Preschool Grad!

A few weeks ago Brooks graduated from Preschool! Y'all, I can not believe he starts kindergarten in the fall. I'll probably cry my eyes out on the first day. :(
