Critter Creek Pumpkin Patch!

I heart weekends! Especially now that Josh is off on the weekend! I’m trying not to get too attached to it because I know it’s short lived and will be gone soon. :(

On Saturday we went with my sister, Brad and Noah to the Critter Creek Farm. We had so much fun! We fed and got to pet the mini horses, alpaca, goats, sheep, reindeer, chickens, a turkey, a fawn and we even got to feed a couple calves bottles! They also have a few no pet animals…bears, a cougar, an arctic fox(stunk SO bad, worse than a skunk!), lynx, raccoons..I think that’s all.

After playing with all the animals we took a hayride down to the pumpkin patch where we all picked out our perfect pumpkins! Then we got temporary tattoos, played on the playground, played with the animals one more time and headed back home! Josh and I had just as much fun as the kids! I love places like that where the kids just run free! OH oh oh…Reece had to potty while we were there, so on the way to take her to the bathroom I asked the boys if they needed to go. Griffin said, “Oh, well I had to go a few minutes ago so I just went behind that tree over there!” bhahahahaha! “What?!?! Really?!?!” The owner was standing right beside us and just laughed hysterically! I wanted to crawl under a rock! Oh well, boys will be boys!

I can’t wait to move to the country so that we can have goats! That’s a random fact you didn’t know about me! I was actually feeding the one eared sheep here though… You see that pipe? You could send cheerios down to the bears in it. Now, look at the end of the pipe…he’s blocking the hole so the other bear can’t get any! The other bear was sad. Guess she wanted cheerios! Favorite recent pic of these two little birds!!!! Caught him sucking his thumb!!! Noah loves his Uncle Josh! Sweet boys! Reece said, “Mommy, you to big fo dis!” This lynx….he had a MAJOR attitude! The owner told Josh that his name is BK…last part stands for Kitty, you figure out the rest! Freakity. I heart them! Do you think it’s evident enough that if you don’t wear your pumpkin garb to the pumpkin patch you MUST wear your gameday attire? Just wondering.

Happy 8th Birthday Griffin!

Is my baby boy really 8??!! Gosh, time flies so fast. I love birthdays, but I hate that my babies have to turn a year older to have one! haha!

It’s fun to think back to what Josh and I were doing eight years ago right now! And last night we were thinking that eight years ago we had NO clue what was about to happen! Here’s the story in case you missed it!(I’m gonna have to find it and post it later, check back!)

Griffin’s party was a hit! The kids had so much fun! They were on the move the entire party and we had to bribe them to slow down long enough to open presents and eat cake!

Officer Hubby, The Drunk

The following story has transpired over the last few weeks and hubby FORGOT to tell me! We’ve been that busy…but don’t you worry your pretty little head, he got in trouble because he KNEW this was blog worthy! hee hee!

A couple of months ago Hubby sold his car so he could get that fast and furious car that I told you about. Actually, we have a family member that owns a car dealership and the family member sold it….AND forgot to take the license plate off of it before the new owner left with the car. Big no no. A few weeks ago new owner dude had the car parked somewhere it shouldn’t and the license plate was ran…it was no big deal because whoever ran it knows Josh from work, but they did let him know.

Then, sometime last week, new owner dude was apparently involved in a hit and run and was found passed out in the car on the strip(happening place on the UA campus if you don’t live here!) An officer from TPD(where Josh used to work) found him…this officer is newer and doesn’t know who hubby is. New owner dude is so passed out that he can’t even tell the officer his name soooooooo officer runs the plate and it comes back to Josh C. This was over the radio and allllll of Josh’s buddies started calling each other…trying to figure out what the crap my husband was doing passed out in a car….”he must be out celebrating his new job…no, his wife would never let him do that!” haha. One of them finally just decided to head on over to where “Josh” was and get him and take him home. As soon as he got there he realized that it wasn’t him…

Needless to say, Officer Hubby got his license plate back the next day…

Sick

Well, I'm sick. I've had a sore throat on and off for about a week. Sunday night it was chilly and windy when I ran. Monday my throat was sore all day but I just tried to ignore it. I'm not a very good sick person. I have too many people to take care of and I'm always taking care of any family member that's sick....I DO NOT HAVE TIME TO BE SICK!!

I'll be the first to admit that I am a whiny titty baby anytime I am sick.

Poor Josh.

So this morning when I woke up at 3am and couldn't swollow my own spit, I decided that I better go get some shots. I don't have strep. I have some unknown something that I get about this time every year. My throat is covered, I mean COVERED in ulcers....it's red and inflammed and the doctor said it was almost completely swollen shut. Great. Just give me as many shots as you can! I got two, one in each cheek and almost couldn't walk out of there! I came home after dropping my prescriptions off...one was a pain med if that tells you how sorry the doctor felt for me..I crashed and took a three hour nap! I woke up feeling like a new woman and cooked homeade chicken enchiladas for dinner! I'll share that recipe soon along with that cake! Throat is still a little sore but nothing like the trobbing pain from this morning!

Remember I was supposed to have jury duty this week? Well I got a letter Thursday saying it was postponed until the 11th. Thank goodness!

Josh started his new job yesterday. I think he's bored and ready to hit the streets. The other two people that were hired with him have to go to the academy in January..and will be doing in-house training until then. We are not sure if Josh will be doing that much in-house training or not. It seems things are kind of not organized or something. The only thing we're worried about now is what shift he is going to be on. They only do shift change twice a year so if he gets put on evening shift now, he won't be able to change until January. And that means that me and the kiddos won't see him at all on his workdays! :( boo. BUT since it's already OCTOBER....January is not that far away! We'll manage!

That's all for now, I'm off to let Hubby pet me since I'm still sick!(gotta milk it!haha)
