Yesterday was Mother's Day. I decided to make things easy on myself. So, when Reece wanted chocolate pudding before lunch I certainly DID NOT let her eat it! I mean, that would spoil her lunch, right? I would never!

While fussing at Griffin the other day I absolutely did not call him Peyton the entire time that I was getting on to him. And when I was finished he did not look up at me with those baby blues and say,"ummm, my name is Griffin." 'Cause I DID give birth to him and I would NEVER get him mixed up with the others!

When Josh was getting ready to discard that snake I so DID NOT tell him to stop and wait a sec because I needed to get the camera and take a pic for the blog!

That's it folks, everything I did not do last week!

Freak my freak, take 957!

First of all, I would like to give a shout out to my mom! I love you so dearly and I am SO blessed to have a best friend in you! I meant to include this in my post yesterday but you know, I was freaked about the allergic reaction stuff and I forgot!

Now, I said that I would post about our lovely Friday night as well. But, I will tell you that I am sitting here cringing just thinking about it!! ...cue those hibbie jibbies!.... We got home from the ballpark and were doing our normal thing getting all the kiddos out of the car when I heard my honey bunny say, "Well dang!" "What is it?" I asked as I jumped out of my car(yes I said jumped...you know I'm short and that Expedition is way taller!) "Come look!" As I approached what was there my heart started to pound.....
Ahhhhhhhh...freak my freakity freakkkkkkk!
He apparently was trying to get in or out of our garage when Josh was leaving and he (or maybe it was a she) got squished in the garage door! We walk by that very same spot 8,000 times a day and lemme tell ya I would have PASSED OUT had it been alive when I walked by!

I plan to jump back on the wagon with Not Me Monday's today....so that'll be a little later!

Little Scare

Last night we took the kids down to Josh's parents house for a swim. They were having so much fun(Reece is a little water bug just like Griffin, not scared of ANYTHING) and worked up a little appetite. Granna brought out some tortilla chips and some Pepper Jack Cheeze-Its. Peyton and Reece dug into the Cheeze-Its and Griff ate the tortilla chips. A few minutes went by and I noticed a red mark on Peyton's arm. I took and closer look and so did Granna. It kind of looked like a scrape so we decided to just watch it. Not EVEN five minutes went by and his ENTIRE arm was completely red and his chest and stomach were starting to turn red as well! He was having some kind of reaction to something! Granna ran inside and got some Benadryl and I tried my best not to freak my freak. Josh decided to wash him off and I started gathering our things so we could head to the hospital. All I could think about was what was going to happen next and Josh's parents live pretty far out of town. I took a glance at Reece and there was a tiny red mark on her arm. I told my mother-in-law that I hoped it wasn't the same thing......a couple minutes later, you got it, she was red all down her arm, on her face and down her leg. Now I couldn't help but freak...we had no Benadryl for her! My kids have NEVER had an allergic reaction to anything, so this was all new to us. And, of course, the boys went down there in their swim suits so they didn't have any shorts! We hurried by the house, picked them up some shorts and ran to Med-South instead of the ER. You know, because it's faster. HA HA HA. Not last night. We were there for two stinkin hours! Imagine that one.....5 people, tiny room, bored to death, OH and we hadn't had dinner yet because all this started happening at like 6:00! We had decided before the doctor ever came in that it was the Pepper Jack on the Cheeze-Its because that was the only thing that they had never had before. I have since narrowed it down to green or red pepper because Reece LOVES the new Mexican Layer Dip flavored Pringles and they have Jalapeno in them. (I know, it's crazy she eats that) Anywho, once the doc finally came in they gave Reece some Benadryl and gave them both a steroid. Whew...THAT was our Saturday night! Never a dull moment around here, I tell ya! Friday night was exciting too, but you'll have to wait until tomorrow for that one!

I'm off to enjoy the rest of my Mother's Day with my sweet angels!!

Oh Yay Oh Yay Oh Yay!!!!!

I'm so glad my sister finally has some direction!!!!!!!!!! I will be an aunt again before I know it! I'm so glad I can finally keep a baby/child for as long as I want and then "take them back"! This time in the delivery room I won't have to do all the work! Well, except for being chief photographer! Woot!

The Circle of Life....

...sucks! Just down right sucks! My Maw Maw E. is not doing so hot and is in ICU again. Really. She is tired, her body is tired. I'm sad and selfish. I can get pregnant from just looking at my husband and my sister can't get pregnant so easy. Why? Why? Why? It should be just as easy for her. All this other 'in between" stuff in life is good, real good...but when someone you love is passing away and someone you love can't make new life it SUCKS! Sucky sucky as sucky can be sucks. I know my grandmother is tired and misses my grandfather blah, blah, blah...but, like I said, I'm selfish and I need to get over it. And I will, I just need a minute.

Enough on that! Laugh as much as you want sister, but I am starting a recipe blog! Not today, but soon. I am going to go ahead and put a recipe on here today though! Allison makes fun because she is jealous, I guess! Sister never cooks...anything! Well, except for Bagel Bites and Ramon Noodles. No, really, she doesn't and she WILL be the first to tell you that she doesn't cook! But, I, however do cook! That's where the new blog comes in. My Mom is a fabulous cook so most of my recipes are stolen from her! Maybe I can get her to post some on the recipe blog too! I like to bake a little more than she does, so the sweet ones will come from me. (and not just because I AM the sweet one! ha!)

This recipe is for a chicken dip..it doesn't really have a name so call it what you want! Everyone loves it and anytime I take it anywhere everyone wants the recipe!

Here are your ingredients:

1 large can of white meat chicken breast drained

1 pack of powdered ranch dressing

1 block of cream cheese softened

And, you'll need some sort of crackers to dip, I like Club Crackers.

Empty your chicken into a bowl and mash it up like this:

Then you just add in your cream cheese and ranch and mix it all up!(I know these pics aren't that great, but Reece kept climbing on the coffee table while I was trying to do this and Josh was in court!)

Now, it's ready to eat if you're just gonna eat it at home! If you are taking it somewhere, ball the mixture up, wrap it in aluminum foil and refrigerate it overnight! It serves kind of like a cheese ball or something. And it's always better the next day! Oh, and I mix it with a fork, it's easier that way!

Zzzzzzzzz.......

Forgive me if I fall asleep while writing this.......zzzzzzz.......I am not joking! I am so tired. My sweet baby girl does NOT sleep. Ever. I don't understand. We have not done anything different with her than we did with the boys. Nothing, except breastfeed alot longer. I don't know. Maybe she just got so used to waking up in the night and nursing...???? She was 8 months old when she stopped breastfeeding, which was 8 months ago....????zzzzzzz.....I just don't know. And before you even think about leaving me a comment telling me to let her "cry it out" let me go ahead and stop you because that is just going to piss me off! I have never and will never let one of my babies cry it out. That is the most lazy excuse to me. If your baby is crying, see what the problem is! Now, if she was having trouble going to sleep, that would be a different story, I can see putting her in her bed and letting her cry for a few minutes until she falls asleep. That is not what she is doing. She's just waking up and wanting her "miik" or her diaper changed. The problem lies where she just wants to stay up. Sometimes she goes right back to sleep. But then there are those nights like last night when she just didn't want to sleep!Zzzzzzzz... I really wanted to do the kitchen tour at Kelly's Korner and show you all my cute purple kitchen...but I'm too lazy....maybe later!

Anywho.....did you remember what yesterday was??? How could you forget???? That's right...first Sunday in May. Every. Single. Year. The C Family Reunion! It's not so bad. Really. Other than the fact that my fabulous homeade mac and cheese was dang soupy! What the crap???? It obviously was still good though...because it was gone. Fast. My favorite sister in law took some pics and she is going to email them to me, so I will post them when she has the chance to send them to me!

I'm off to my Mother's Day Tea with Peyton! YAY! So fun!
