How it all began, part 2!

This may get a little graphic and may have more details than you would like to hear!

After the wedding was over we quickly settled in and enjoyed the little time we were going to have together alone! October rolled around and we anxiously awaited our little bundle of joy! There are LOTS of October birthdays in our family and the bets were on to see who's birthday he would land on! My Granddaddy's birthday is the 1st, and that came and went with no baby, Aunt Janna's birthday is the 2nd-still no baby, Big Mama's birthday is the 8th-no baby, my little brother Kody's birthday, the 11th-no baby! And then Aunt Katie's birthday rolled around, the 13th. It's funny because at the end of that day I was like, "Well, dang! At this rate it's gonna be on Gigi's birthday and that's at the end of the month! UGH!" So, I took a long walk, then a warm bath, then ate spaghetti, then Josh and I you know.

Welllllllll, at 2:45 the next morning, October 14th and Uncle Matt's birthday I woke up and thought I peed in the bed! I jumped up and ran to the bathroom and peed, a lot. Then it hit me! There's no way I could pee that much if I peed all in the bed! My water was broke! I stood up from the toilet and it just came pouring! whooo hooo! I ran back in the bedroom, yanked back the covers, woke Josh up, "My water just broke!!!!!!" He jumped up straight out of bed still butt naked, I am not even kidding you!!!!! So, I called my Mom. She and Allison both answered at the same time like they were just sitting by the phone at 3am! I told them that my water just broke and Mom was all calm and said, "ok, well just wait for your contractions to start and start timing them." "Heck no! Dr. R told me to call him as soon as my water broke! Bye." Then I called Dr. R and he told us he would meet us at the hospital.

Officer Hubby got to the hospital in about two seconds like this child was going to come flying out before we could get there. ha. ha. ha. No such luck. My contractions never started so when the 7 o'clock nurses came in we got things started. I get the star treatment at that hospital because my grandmother helped get the women's pavilion started there and worked in labor and delivery until the lupus was so bad she couldn't work anymore. It's sad now because she isn't here to boss them around and tell them how to do things with her granddaughters! They are doing a special thing over there where they plan to name one of the operating rooms after her or something so stay tuned for that post!

Anyway, back to G-man! After I was about one cm dilated I got an epidural. I can't stand pain. There was NO WAY I was going to try to prove anything by going natural! The day progressed really normal and by evening I was ready to push. I don't remember how long I had to push, a couple of hours I know! By the time he was born, my epidural was no longer working and even the extra medicine they give you in it wouldn't work, so I FELT EVERYTHING! OUCH! But, at 9:04 pm, sweet baby Griffin made his grand entrance! 7 pounds 2 ounces and 21 inches of sweet baby boy!
A few weeks later my mom was keeping Griffin and was at the mall with him. Remember that nurse that kept telling me my birth control wasn't going to work? Well, Mom and G ran into her at the mall! ha! Mom told her that her talk with me did NO good, obviously! :)

How it all began!

I was 19, almost 20 when I moved out into a pretty little three bedroom/two bathroom bachelorette blueberry!(I call it that because the house was blue on the outside!) Not too shabby for a 19 year old by herself, huh? I'm spoiled and you already know that!

I had been out on my own for a few weeks when I got really super sick. I was hospitalized for a week. I had some sort of bacteria in my stomach that had caused a really nice ulcer in my stomach. Blech! It was bad and it hurt like nobody's business! When I was released from the hospital I was taking 16 pills a day...obviously that zapped my birth control! I distinctly remember just before leaving the hospital my nurse was talking to me and she kept saying, "Now don't forget your birth control is not going to work!" yea yea yea. I know! Well, about a month went by...and no period. I thought maybe my system was just all out of whack from everything else that had been going on. I didn't even tell Josh. Instead, I talked it over with my BFF Jamie and decided to take a pregnancy test just in case. She came over that night when she got off work and I took a test. It was immediately positive. CRAP! And, of course I had only bought one. So we ran to the store and bought TWO more. Yep, they were positive too! I think Jamie and I just stared at each other for a while and then it hit me! So, I called Josh who was at work and told him I needed him to come over ASAP and that it was an emergency! He was there in like 30 seconds....Jamie left once he got there so that I could tell him and we could talk.

We just sat there. We were both so scared! We didn't know what to do...we knew we eventually wanted to get married but now? That was not the plan! We decided we would wait until I went to the doctor before we told anyone...meanwhile we tried to figure out if we should just live together and get married later or get married now.

I went to the doctor for my six week appointment where everything was confirmed and my due date was 10/30/02. My head was spinning, Josh's head was spinning. I was PREGNANT and we couldn't believe it!

A few weeks went by and we were still trying to wrap our heads around things. I finally got up the courage to tell my mom. I drove straight to her house, walked inside, sat down on the bed and said, "I'm pregnant." That was so hard! We look back now and laugh about all of this because it wasn't near as big of a deal as we thought at the time. Mom did the same as we did and stared at me for what seemed like forever.

A couple of days later Josh moved in with me. We still weren't sure if we were going to get married or not. Finally one day it all came to a head and we decided to bite the bullet and I'm so glad we did!

On May 18, 2002 I married the love of my life and I am so thankful things happened the way they did!

To be continued.....

How cute is this?!

Click on the picture and you can see it better!

I've done the kids bathroom in monkeys...the most gender neutral cute thing I could figure out for now. I couldn't find anything I liked for the walls so, I dreamed this up one day! My long lost cousins wife(NOT our fault we're long lost!) has a little business so I told her what I dreamed up and she delivered EXACTLY what I wanted! :) Go here and see her stuff! You should be able to contact her through her blog, if not let me know and I will get you in touch!
Oh and we're not long lost anymore! :)

Stuff

I would like to take this opportunity, since this is my blog and all, to respectfully ask any of you who do not like me or things I blog about or hearing things about my PRECIOUS family to click that little red x in the top right corner of your screen and don't come back. I am at a point in my life where I don't have the time or the energy for drama, especially when it involves the ones I love the most!

I started this blog to keep my family and friends up to date about what's going on in our lives. I managed to do that, reconnect with old friends and make new ones through the blog and I am very grateful for that! :)

I also started the blog so that I would be able to look back years from now and remember things...which brings me to my next point! Cherry Berry had the fabulous idea to go back and blog about things from the past so that all the past stuff could be on the blog too! Sooooooooo, I'm gonna copy cat her(I'm sure she won't mind!) and do that too! I especially want to put the boys' birth stories on here because I do NOT want those memories to fade! And, no, I didn't leave Miss Priss out, hers is already on here! Hopefully in the next few days I'll start with Griffin!

Jakey Poo!

What is he thinking???? ugh. I'm talking about our latest Bachelor in case you are lost.

I like Tenley, she's the only one left to like. I don't think she's ready, blah blah blah, but she's more together than Vienna ever thought about being.

Vienna is U.G.L.Y. She is very immature and I can't stand her! And Jake acts like a 12 year old around her and when he was hitting her on the butt with the sword...well, that was just plain raunchy and made me want to puke! Gross!

But he's gonna pick her, so y'all might as well put your seat belt on and get ready for it!

Snow!

On Friday our entire city pretty much shut down because it snowed like an inch! ha! It never snows here and the roads were getting icy....and we don't know how to drive when that happens! I was happy to have extra time with my Valentine's!

Nothing like a good 'ole snowball fight :)

Melt.....

There are no snow pictures of Peyton Tyler because every one I have of him is of him crying because I caught him off guard and hit him with a snowball and well, he was pissed at me for a while. Yea, we're in THAT stage right now.
AND, my smallest Valentine!

She and Noah matched, but we failed to get a pic of them together! BUT she did hold him and kiss ALL.OVER.HIM. on Saturday! I think there were just too many people that she didn't know there on Thursday, so she loves him afterall! :)
ok, gotta go watch The Bachelor! wait, was that Gia topless...on tv? All righty then.

Kiddies meet Noah!

Last night we took the kids to meet Noah. They've been begging all week! When I got home from the hospital Tuesday night the boys actually thought I was bringing Allison and the baby home with me for some reason and were highly disappointed! As much as Reece has talked about "Woah" for the last several months, she wanted NOTHING to do with him last night! Would not hardly look at him! ha!

I on the other hand, could eat him up.....
He doesn't really like to have his picture taken!

When we left I was talking to the boys and asking them if they thought he was cute. Griffin yelled from the back of the car, "YES, I love that baby to DEATH! I had NO idea he was gonna be THAT cute!" ha!

Welcome to the world Noah!

There's nothing like a newborn baby! And you haven't lived until you've seen a baby born into this world! It's so amazing! And it was even more amazing for me this time because I wasn't the one having to push it out! ha! Allison is doing really good, she says it was a piece of cake! I have decided that if you are going to be induced, the ticket is waiting until as close as you can to your due date. My water broke with Griffin at 38 weeks and I had to be induced because of that, then I was induced with Peyton at 38 weeks as well. Those were two HARD labors! With Reece I was induced right at 39 weeks and here is Allison being induced days before her due date and those two were easy! So, there you go! Just my take on things! Allison will have her birth story up as soon as she can muster up the energy....and as soon as I get to the hospital to hog my nephew! :)

A little bit of this, a little bit of that

Sooo, I'm sure most of you have figured out by now that my little nephew will be here tomorrow! :) yay! Can. Not. Wait! Allison plans to blog throughout the day so I will not be blogging. No sense in blogging about the same thing in two different places! If for some reason she doesn't feel like it or something comes up, I'll update! I do plan to update my tweets and maybe my facebook! So you can check there!

I realized that I never put our pictures from the cirus on here! We had such a fun time!

Some old creepy man tried to coax me and Reece into the men's bathroom at Wal-Mart yesterday. Talk about freakin your freak. Little did he know that IF I had been dumb enough to go anywhere near him I would have killed him right there in the bathroom! My little taser is definitely coming to good use! ha!

That's about it for now I guess!
