Crazy, Literally

Today has been one of those days for me as a momma. These children have driven me nuts today. My bouts of insomnia the past few nights have added up and I am pooped. Now that Reece is finally sleeping pretty well, I can't. Go figure. Let me stop right here and remind you of how blessed I know I am and how much these babies mean to me. I love them more than anything and I think you can tell that from my blog. With that said, my blog makes everything look all peaches and cream sometimes.....and it ain't! I have days just like anyone else! Take today, for instance, Griffin has been aggravating all of us...to the point that I have contemplated running away.(not really, but it sounded good!) He could aggravate a fly I tell you! Grr! You have no idea! Not only that but he has not been minding today and he keeps smarting off which has caused I can't even tell you how many spankings, time outs and eventually a pop in the mouth. He has gone all summer without being on his medication, but he is about to start back. Ohhhhhh...and he kicked Peyton in the package!!!!! Peyton hasn't been that bad, just hasn't minded a few times. Reece is good too, she just likes to get into stuff like a normal 18 month old, but that mixed with Griff acting this way is no fun. She IS screaming in my ear at the moment because I am ignoring her and typing this! I made a yummy cake to take to my in-laws tomorrow and of course it stuck to the pan! I just laughed when that happened, things are comical at this point! As I sit here typing this I am drinking a big fat glass of wine and the bottle may just be gone by the time Josh wakes up! ha!

Here is the recipe for the cake, I stole it from my mom a long time ago!

Ingredients:
Cake:
1 box Duncan Hines Butter Recipe cake mix
1 11oz. can mandarin oranges-undrained
1/2 cup veg. oil
4 eggs
Icing:
1 20oz. can crushed pineapple-undrained
8 oz. sour cream
6 tablespoons of sugar
Box of Jello Cheesecake Mix-the little kit that makes a cheesecake, you will just use the filling mix out of the box
8 oz. cool whip

Preheat oven to 325. Grease two 8 or 9 inch cake pans. Mix your cake ingredients together with a mixer. You may want to kind of chop the oranges up a little first, makes it easier! Pour even amounts into your cake pans and bake for about 30 minutes. Let cakes cool completely.

For the icing, mix the first four ingredients together first and then add in the cool whip. Layer your cakes and don't forget to put icing in between them! Refrigerate overnight.

Don't worry about me, I'll be fine! It's days like today that I say, "NO MORE BABIES!" But I am sure I will change my mind tomorrow!
xoxo

LOL! I thought today was going pretty good for us until tonight! The boys are starting to get on our nerves and I just put Delsie to bed and she was doing good, now she is screaming and hitting the wall! Bud is starting to cook the food and he is constantly wanting me to help him, I'm trying to clean up the kitchen and get some homework done and keep an eye on the kids. Remind me why we wanted such a long weekend?! Hopefully tomorrow will be better!
