You gotta love a Cop's kid!

Yesterday on my way to pick up Peyton and Reece from preschool I noticed in a parking lot of a local restaurant a car with its doors flung open and three or four patrol cars around it and only one police officer standing there. Obviously someone tried to make a traffic stop and the gangsta bailed on them and they were on foot running somewhere. So I hurried on to get the kids so Peyton could see all the patrol cars.('cause you know he wants to be a police officer just like his daddy!) When I came back by they were still there---are you ready to pee in your pants?!?

Me: Look over there at all those police cars buddy!
Peyton with NO hesitation: Yep, that's exactly why we don't throw trash out the car window!

I laughed so hard I cried!

My friend Donna is making some fun purses for you girls that live around here---and are Alabama fans! The most fabulous team EVA! Can I get a Roll Tide?!
There are TONS of inside pockets and the pockets are made from the "A" material-if you know what I mean! This can easily double as a diaper bag too! She is selling them for $45, which is way cheaper than anything else houndstooth! Let me know if you want one!
Oh, and our ball game got rained out yesterday and moved to Thursday...which means that we won't be playing Friday, so we can head to the beach early!!!! YAY!

Rain Rain Go Away!

Could it have rained anymore this weekend? Nasty. Nasty. Nasty. We were pretty much stuck in the house all weekend. We had a ball game Friday night and a birthday party to attend on Saturday, other than that we were stuck in the house because of the rain!

Baseball tournaments are this week. I am pretty ticked to say the least! We have not had one ball game on a Saturday all season...until this coming up Saturday....WHEN WE ARE SUPPOSED TO BE AT THE BEACH! GRR! We are also more than likely going to have a game Friday night...WHEN WE ARE SUPPOSED TO BE AT THE BEACH! It's too hard for Josh to get off work and since he has already taken off for the weekend we are going to the beach anyway. I hate that we are going to have to possibly miss the last game, but I would much rather be at the beach with my family. We'll see what happens....

Look what Miss Priss decided to start doing over the weekend....
Not sure where I was, cleaning up someone's mess I'm sure, but I walked into the kitchen to do something and there she sat....on the bar...eating Mac & Cheese Crackers! She also figured out that she can push a bar stool up to the back door so that she can look out of it and watch the dogs....and yes, I had a heart attack when I saw her! And how about those 14 ponytails? I think they are fabulous! hee hee!

Griffin's A Kindergarten Grad!

Today was G-Man's Kindergarten Graduation! And, I have you know, I DID NOT shed one tear! Can you believe it?? I'm so proud of myself and our sweet little man! The school year went by so fast. I am so thankful that my child had the best teacher in that school, Mrs. Siemers.(AND that she will teach Peyton next year!) This was her 36th year of teaching and there is not anything she hasn't seen or dealt with. She was so caring and helpful to us in getting Griffin the help he needs as far as his ADHD. Boy have we seen changes in that child since he was diagnosed! I will be forever grateful to her, we love her so much!

Side note: We were told today that the school that G attends has more Kindergarteners than any other school in the state! They had to have two separate ceremonies today!

First day of Kindergarten.....

This, That & The Other

That was for you, Mom! HA!

I will start this post by fore-warning you that it is another one of my random ones! And, it's a long one!

First I would like to say that I am SO disappointed in these police officers! Morons like that give the good cops like mine a bad reputation! I'm sure their adrenaline was going and it was going extra because the dude hit one of the officers with his car...when you mess with a fellow officer, you are SO playing with fire! That is still no reason for the brutal beating. Ugh.

I have a new drink addiction.....

Yep, Mt. Dew Voltage. LOVE IT! If you haven't tried it, don't think "Mt. Dew" when you drink it...think "totally new drink"! If you think regular Mt. Dew, you most likely won't like it!

Josh and Peyton went to the McWane Center yesterday with Peyton's class. They had a blast but boy were they tired! Sheesh! Josh ended up being resposible for half the kids and they drove him nuts!

Can I just say that I am SO excited that Kris Allen won American Idol?! He is so dang cute!

Remember this post talking about my grandparents? Well, the truth is, I have more! No kidding! How, you ask, does a girl have so many grandparents/parents??? Lemme just say that that is a whole entire other post in itself. A very complicated story, to say the least! Put it this way...Griffin was asking questions the other day about alllll his grandparents and was trying to hard to put everyone with who they go with or used to go with....Josh said, "Don't worry about it buddy, even I don't get it all!" ha! So maybe one day, I will do a post on that one! Anywho, my grandparents from Texas were here for a week a few weeks ago and here's the pics! PawPaw and the boys aren't in any of them because they snuck off to Wendy's for a frosty!

The Baby Makers....

It's fun to sit on Daddy's head!

Eat her?

Sweet Sophie face!

Now, I'll tell ya about a little bit of trouble I got in with my officer! Griffin graduates tomorrow.(And when I dropped him off at school this morning for the last day of Kindergarten, I thought I was going to have a freakin' heart attack!) And so we were going to buy him a cute new outfit for graduation. We were going to go together---yea like all five of us, but then we used our brain and decided that that was just dumb! We decided that I would go and Josh would stay home with the other two. Well, Griff and I found a really cute light purple shirt and a really pretty light purple tie to match! And it was SO CUTE on him! And then I thought, "hmmm...ya best bet is to call the hubby and make sure you aren't going to get in trouble for purple!" And so I did, and he didn't answer. So, I bought them and we headed home. On the ride home I called again just to be sure everything was ok. This time he answered and here is the conversation:
Sweet little 'ole me: "Are you going to kill me if I tell you that I bought a purple shirt and a purple tie?"
Hunny Bunny: "You're kidding. Right?"
Me: "No. It's cute!"
Hunny Bunny: "That's exactly why I wanted to go, so you wouldn't buy anything girly!"
Me: "I don't buy the boys girly clothes!"
Hunny Bunny: "um, yes you do. You bought Peyton that purple shirt and a pink polo shirt."
Me: "Real men wear pink." HA and no I didn't say that to my hubby! But, for the record Peyton's purple shirt is dark purple and boyish.

So, there you have it! A tid bit of what's been going on this week!

And because I couldn't resist....

Happy 7th Anniversary!

Today is our seventh wedding anniversary! In a way it seems like yesterday when we were married and in another way it seems like forever ago! We've done so much in these seven years. If you are in a happy marriage you will know exactly what I mean when I say I love that man more every single time I look at him! He makes me melt! Have you heard Brad Paisley's new song " I thought I loved you then"? Here are the lyrics:

I remember trying not to stare the night that I first met you
You had me mesmerized
3 weeks later in the front porch light
taking 45 min to kiss you goodnight
I hadn’t told you yet but I thought I loved you then

Chorus
Now you’re my whole life
now you’re my whole world
I just can’t believe the way I feel about you girl
Like a river meets the sea
Stronger than it’s ever been
We’ve come so far since that day
And I thought I loved you then.

I remember taking you back to right where I first met you
You were so surprised
There were people around
But I didn’t care
I got down on one knee right there
And once again I thought I loved you then

Chorus
Now you’re my whole life
now you’re my whole world
I just can’t believe the way I feel about you girl
Like a river meets the sea
Stronger than it’s ever been
We’ve come so far since that day
And I thought I loved you then.

I can just see you with a baby on the way
I can just see you when your hair is turning gray
What I can’t see is how I’m ever gonna love you more
But I’ve said that before.

Now you’re my whole life
now you’re my whole world
I just can’t believe the way I feel about you girl
Well look back some day at this moment that we’re in
And I'll look at you and say I thought I loved you then
And I thought I loved you then...

I've had a whole lot of those "I thought I loved you then" moments with Josh and plan to have many, many more! I just thought I loved him the first time he kissed me...I just thought I loved him the first time he told me that he loved me...I just thought I loved him the day we were married...I just thought I loved him the day Griffin, Peyton and Reece were born....

Griffin...

Peyton...

Kelsie's Graduation

I'm so glad yesterday is OVER! That was one emotional day for you know who! Kelsie's graduation sent me flying back nine years to the night I graduated.(yep, I said NINE, I told you I was old!) It's crazy how time has flown since that night and how much things have changed! I went from living at home with my mom going to college to living out on my own by myself to getting married to my fabulous man to having a baby to Josh becoming a cop to having another baby to building our house to having another baby...I'm sure I missed something in there but I'm SURE it wasn't a baby! hee hee!

Whew that was a LONG time ago!

I really wanted to cry like a baby when Kelsie walked across and got her diploma. But, I stopped myself and told myself, "Why cry? She has accomplished this and she will accomplish many other things, just like you did!" And she will. She may not have this many babies though! :)

Some people released balloons when there child's name was called!

Peyton's Graduation!

Peyton graduated from preschool today! (no, I'm not crying! anymore...) His little class was so cute! They all had on their little cap and gowns....sweetness. They did the pledge, sang songs and then received their diplomas. When they first walked in I couldn't even see straight for all the tears pouring down my face...my baby boy is growing up way too fast! I managed to compose myself after that and enjoyed the rest of the show! :) Tonight my baby sister graduates from high school. I can't believe she is grown. :( Needless to say, today is very bittersweet for me! Here are the pics from Peyton's graduation and I am sure that I will take plenty tonight and post them soon!

Walking in-the part I pretty much couldn't see! ha!
