Beachin’ It!

We just got home from our first beach trip of the year! We had a great time! Ate WAY too much…I’m about to hit the gym big time!
P caught a big fish! Actually it was already dead! haha Griffin had to sit in time-out. Yes he did. ON the beach!
He was so mad. Oh well.

Her new favorite thing is to tan with Daddy! Next, it was time for a putt putt championship. Griffin and I are quite possibly the two most competitive people on the planet! So it was WAR! haha! And, heck no, I am NOT that parent that just let’s the kids win just because they are kids! If they win, they win fare and square! haha.

And OF COURSE the champion is….ME! Friendly little fox family just chillin’ in the sunset!

I should also note that we DEVOURED two dozen Krispy Kreme Doughnuts in less than 24 hours. Yep, 24 doughnuts in 24 hours. HA! We also had our favorite Cuban Nachos, of course!
We like to do a lot of beachin’ and a lot of eatin’!

Torch Run!

This morning Officer Hubby is participating in the Special Olympics Torch Run! The department that he works for and the department that he used to work for ran together. Hubs is in the front in blue :)

I would LOVE to say that I took these pics and was there because my office is right across the street BUT I was checking rental property with my sister and we were being COVERED in fleas!
And when I say covered I mean completely covered. Disgusting.
So proud of hubby though!

Chicken Fun!

We are loving our chicky chicks! Our original chicks are getting so big! I’m ready for some eggs! Griffin has become the chicken whisperer! He can pretty much catch them without much work! We also discovered that Rocky likes to perch on his shoulder! We’re moving the Silkies to the coop today! They will still be in their cage for a little while but inside the coop. This way they can get used to the older ones! I will be glad to have them out of the house! They are messy scratching around in their pine shavings and make a lot of dust!

Look at those sweet little squeezable thighs!!!!!  And the boys were so little! They are almost as tall as me now!

My First Birchbox!

Yesterday I received my very first Birchbox! My sister signed up a few months ago and I just couldn’t let her have all the fun!
Oh, you don’t know what a Birchbox is? Neither did I! It’s a little box you get once a month and it has goodies in it! Samples of different things for you to try! When you sign up you fill out a survey and they send you things they think you will like! It’s $10 a month. They now have a men’s Birchbox as well, but it’s $20 a month.

So, here’s what’s in my box! 
FUN! The white box is an antioxidant for your face, then there’s the Viva La Juicy(smells good, the sister LURVES it; me notsomuch), Show Stoppers(apparently this is something to hide bra straps??), nail polish and the gold bottle is some sort of hair elixir(I’ll have to ask my fabulous hair dresser about this before I use!haha)
Sounds like fun stuff to get into. Maybe $10 is a little excessive but I like to get surprises! :)

Zoo Fun!

Last Thursday Josh went with Reece and her class to the zoo! I was SUPER jealous, but Thursday’s are my busiest days at work so I didn’t get to go. I’m glad that they got some good daddy/daughter time though! :)
I forgot to charge my camera battery for him so these are all phone pics! Oops. What did we do before smart phones?SUCH a priss!

We may or may not be working on something like this for our house… Even a priss when she’s asleep! haha! They had a really good time! I’m off to the Shark Tooth Creek with Peyton in a few weeks! Can’t wait! :)

Big Mama works out!

Guess who started working out? Big Mama!! If you know us in real life then you know exactly who Big Mama is! If not, then I feel sorry for you! haha! No but really, she’s my 83-year-old grandmother!!!

So, what’s she doing in the gym? Everything! She’s only worked out twice so far this week and her range of motion and balance are already SO much better! She is walking better too! So exciting!

Now, I’m here to tell YOU…there is NO excuse not to be healthy and there is NO excuse not to exercise! You will feel SO much better! I promise! If my grandmother can work out, so can you!

So get off the couch and DO SOMETHING!

Bad News and Bad News

I’m about to turn my husband loose on the neighbors! They have this cute black lab, named River. He’s sweet. I love labs.

How do I know he’s so sweet? Because he’s at our house every freakin day playing with our dogs and kids and eating our dog food! The past few weeks when I’ve seen him I’ve “shooed” him off. He gets into EVERYTHING that we have outside. We have an underground electric fence that we use to keep our dogs IN OUR YARD that cost us a lot of money and a lot of Hubs’ time putting in. So that OUR DOGS stay HOME and don’t ROAM!

Well last night while putting the chickens up for the night I stepped in an excessive amount of poop. I had on flip flops so I just left them on the front porch and planned to clean them off today. Well this morning I went outside to get them and what do you know? One was missing. AND Peyton had left his GOOD tennis shoes out there and one of them is missing too. I am SURE I know who the culprit is and I am not happy.

The other bad news is that Fufu went to bunny heaven.

Seriously.

I don’t know if we will get another one or not. It was pretty sad at our house last night.

Friday, on our way home, Reece and I decided that we would stop by a feed and seed store that is down the road from our house to look at the bunnies! I had NO intentions of buying one BUT this sweet little white one just LOVED us so…

Meet Fufu!

Isn’t she so cute?! She has her eyeliner on perfect! :)

And I didn’t exactly have hubby’s permission because I really wasn’t going by the store to buy one! But he didn’t mind!

Yesterday I was running around like a mad woman all day so I didn’t really pay the rabbit much attention. Well last night I went to pick her up and she was covered in runny poop! GAHROSS!!! eww. So I of course googled and decided I better give her a bath. Well first I tried getting it off with wet paper towels…that didn’t work. Off to the bath she went! Or he, maybe it’s a he! It has eyeliner so it MUST be a she! So she loved the bath or notsomuch but she tolerated it and I was able to get her all cleaned up! She loved being all snuggled in the towel :) She stayed wrapped up for a while and then started to wiggle so I put her back in her pen and that’s when she

GAVE HERSELF A BATH.

Rude!

No but really she couldn’t have gotten that all off without my help. I have to wonder if she was taken from her mommy too soon.

Onto some egg dying fun!

They look so happy, right? Griffin had been in trouble(shock!) so they were not real happy.

But they cheered up and made really cute eggs!

Sweet little guy has been SO moody lately. He either loves you or hates you. The end. I think it’s the Straterra. We go back for a check up in a few weeks so I plan on talking about some different options. There may not be any though.

Socks!

For the LOVE of all things holy Griffin and Peyton we can’t keep up with socks at our house! Who knows what makes them “disappear” but I’m tired of buying them!
SO.
I just went and bought TWENTY pairs of socks for them. That’s right 40 socks.
And I took my happy little sharpie and politely wrote “G” on half and “P” on the other half. No more, “Peyton lost the socks” or “Griffin lost the socks”. They are each responsible for their own!

If they come up “missing” in the next few months I’m so making them buy their own!

Thirty

Holy cow, y’all! I’m the big 3-0!!!!!!!

My birthday was Sunday. We had a fun day. Didn’t do a whole lot of anything! Which is exactly what I wanted to do!

We had an air show here this weekend so on Saturday I took the kids to see the Blue Angels! Hubby had to work traffic so we stalked down his traffic post and watched from there! :)

(side note-I’m having the hardest time finding shorts for Reece this year! These are WAY too short, in my opinion. And yes I’m picky about what they look like too, so that makes it harder!)They were all three way more interested in helping Daddy work the traffic light than seeing the jets!

I won’t bore you with all the pictures of the planes! It doesn’t do them justice anyway! If you ever have the opportunity to see the Blue Angels in person you should go!!! They are amazing!
