Of the League!!!

Wow, what a game! Our boys started out with a lot of pep in their step and dominated thanks to a parent's genius idea to give them Mt.Dew before the game! ha ha! Whatever works! About half way through the game it started to wear off and the other team started catching up! The Jays reeeeeally wanted to beat us. I’m happy to report that it didn’t work out for them. It was definitely a nail bitter in the end though because the other team got the last bat and could have beat us had we not held it together!

Peyton’s a Kindergarten Grad!

Today was PeyPey’s Kindergarten Graduation. The school had to do two ceremonies again this year because they again have the biggest kindergarten class in the state! DSC_0047 DSC_0048 DSC_0049 DSC_0050 DSC_0051 DSC_0052 DSC_0054

Bad Stranger Day

Do you ever have a bad stranger day? I do. You know, where everyone just ticks you off! I had one of those on Monday. I was in a fantastic mood that day but everyone just seemed to want to change that.

Griffin had an appointment with his therapist. Josh and I decided a long time ago that he didn’t need therapy…he’s fine, a happy go lucky little guy and he’s doing great with his ADHD medication. So, I called to cancel his appointment. Now, every time I call or come in contact with the staff in this office(ADHD doctors office, not pediatricians office) I have issues. They are either rude or make me feel like I don’t know what I’m talking about. I’m his mom, I know him best. When I canceled the appointment the rude hefer on the phone told me that there was going to be a $50 charge for canceling. Um, no. You are not going to charge me $50 for canceling something I didn’t need in the first place. AND I’m going to find him another doctor, thankyouverymuch!

Then, Allison and I went to Sam’s to buy some things for the office. ahem, mt. dew. She was pushing Noah in the stroller and I was pushing a buggy full of Mt. Dew and bottled water. SEE we ARE healthy sometimes! She was weaving in and out of isles and I was trying to keep up. We came to an isle we needed to go down and there was a big ole buggy blocking the way. So, I patiently stood there while the woman got her stuff and talked to her friend. I waited and waited and waited, then she moved her buggy. Thank goodness, now I can go. Nope, then she blocked the isle with her big butt. So, I politely tried to squeeze through(and I’m not very big!) and she saw me but didn’t move. I said, “excuse me” as sweet as I could and she gave me a go to hell look. ugh. whatever.

Then, we stopped by Wal-Mart so that I could run in and get something. I was standing in the line minding my own business when a group of college boys walked up behind me. Then out of nowhere they started pushing me with their buggy! LIKE across the store…moving me! So, I turned around and said, not so nicely(I was fed up with strangers by this point!), “EXCUSE ME! YOU ARE PUSHING ME WITH YOUR BUGGY!” GAH! Well, they stopped, but then they talked about me…whatever. If I hadn’t said anything they really would have run me over! Their momma didn’t teach them right I guess!

I’m off to get some sugar from this little guy….photon

He’s sitting on my desk in his bumbo supervising me typing this post right now! He’s so presh!

Eight Years!!!

Josh and I were married eight years ago today! EIGHT!! That seems like a long time…but it really has flown by! We’ve been busy those eight years! Somewhere in between having three babies, changing a gazillion diapers, baseball, kids starting school, building our careers, losing grandparents, hosting a puppy farm(haha), building a house, lots of beach trips and a host of other things…we’ve been married eight years! Man oh man!

We originally wanted to get married on the beach, we love the beach, but were not able to at the time. Should have put my foot down, I’ve grown ALOT since then! So, we’ve decided to renew our vows on the beach! Since we’ve almost been married 10 years I think we’re gonna wait til the 10 year mark to do it! How fun! I can’t wait to marry Josh all over again!

xoxo

PS-I’m disgusted with myself right now because I can not find ONE recent picture of just me and Josh! What kind of wife am I?! I’ll fix that and take a pic before our anniversary date!

Mounting Pressure

We wrapped up the regular season of baseball this past weekend, tournaments start this weekend! I’m so excited to say that Griffin’s team finished undefeated! Woot woot! I haven’t blogged about it for fear of bragging too much and jinxing things! But, now that they are still undefeated, all the other teams are itching to beat them! That’s a lot of pressure for some seven and eight year old kids! We’ve had some nail biters that we’ve almost lost but somehow have managed to keep pulling it together! Stay tuned to see how it all turns out…

I have a feeling it’s gonna be good!

In which I become your new BFF!

Y’all are gonna love me! Not that you don’t already! I came across this recipe that my sister(in-law but we don’t call each other that anymore!) makes. It’s so yummy, you won’t be able to get enough! It’s the best dessert recipe ever!

Ingredients
  • 2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese
  • 2 (8 ounce) packages refrigerated crescent dinner rolls
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup cinnamon sugar
Directions
Using a 9 x 13 baking pan, unroll one package of refrigerated crescent rolls and line the bottom of the pan. Flatten. Mix together the cream cheese, sugar and vanilla. Spread over the crescent rolls. Unroll the other can of crescent rolls and place on top of cream cheese mixture. Pour one stick of melted butter or margarine over the top and sprinkle with about 1/2 cup of the cinnamon sugar mixture. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.

Now, go bake it and come back and tell me how much you love me!!

Reece’s First Hair Cut!

I finally bit the bullet last week and made Reece’s first hair appointment. Yesterday was the day! Her hair was to the point where when I picked her up in the afternoon from school it looked like rats had played in it all day! There were a few inches at the bottom that were longer than the rest of her hair so I wanted to trim all that off so it would look better and grow better! I love her hair being long. I can do so much with it that way! There is a little girl that goes to her school that has her hair cut kind of like mine and it’s SUPER CUTE but, I just don’t think I can do that with Reece just yet!

Love that little smirk!

Busy Bees, take 95763

Wow! I really don’t think we have ever been this busy! Friday night started off with Peyton’s baseball game, we got home sometime after 8….had to be back at the ballpark bright and early Saturday morning at 9 for Griffin’s game. Rushed home, Josh went to bed and I cleaned until Josh’s parents picked up the kids around 4:30. Then Josh and I went to our friends’ wedding, which was so sweet and just beautiful! Didn’t get home til around 9, dropped Josh off so he could get ready for work and then headed to get the kids…got back around 10:30. Hit the hay only to be up and ready for Noah’s baby dedication at church the next morning. After church I took a TWO hour nap with Reece…Happy Mother’s Day to me!….and we ended the day at Mom’s for a cookout! Wooo weeeee. I’m tired, hence the lack of blogging!

Oh, and somewhere in the midst of all that, Peyton lost his first two teeth! :)

Here’s the little snaggle before he lost the second one!

10 Years

Has it really been 10 years since we graduated high school?! To say that time has flown by would be an understatement! My 10 year reunion is this weekend. We’re not going. Too much going on…for one, it’s Mother’s Day weekend. Tonight is the family night thing and Peyton has a game right smack in the middle of it. Tomorrow night there is another get together at The Zone(Bryant Denny Stadium for those of you not here!) but we have a wedding to attend. We were torn about whether to go to the wedding or the reunion because we would love to see everyone but decided we would rather be there to see our friends tie the knot! :) Josh’s reunion is later in the summer, much less busier time! So, I’m sure we’ll go to his! There might have been 20 people in his graduating class so it won’t be huge!

Happy Mother’s Day to all of you mommies out there!
