So Many Trophies, So Little Space!

It’s here, it’s here, it’s here!!!! Football season is upon us!

Roll Tide!

My sister and brother-in-law went to Dallas for the game so guess who gets to keep Noah ALLLLL WEEKEND!!!!! Super excited. I do know that I will have to fight Reece to spend any time with him though. She likes to hog mommy him. And that’s ok.

I came across this commercial for the Bryant Museum and thought I would share!

Lunch Date!

Today I had a lunch date with Peyton! We had a yummy lunchroom cheeseburger and fries! So much for watching the calories today, might as well have a doughnut too! haha!IMG_20120830_120529

All of the kids in his room were so excited I was there! One little girl told me that I was beautiful today and several of the kiddies wanted to sit with me. :) I really wish I could have stayed all day with them! Maybe on Monday Reece and I can visit for a little while since they have to go to school Labor Day.

:( boo.

Orthodonist

We have recently been taking Griffin and Peyton to visit our orthodontist.(well mine, Josh was blessed with a perfect smile!) Did you know that you should take your child to see an orthodontist by the age of 7? Because I didn’t! The boys both had to have night guards because they grind their teeth at night. Peyton does it so bad that his teeth look like a 40 year old man’s teeth in the back. It has not been fun trying to remember to put those things in at night. Of course they don’t remember or care and my brain does not function well at night! ;) You would think the $300+ that we paid for EACH of them would remind me. Um no.

I love our dentist, but he didn’t even let us know about the teeth grinding problem! And we see him twice a year! A little annoyed about that.

The work Griffin will have to have done is more extensive than Peyton’s. Because, well, his bite is jacked up. In more ways than one.IMG_20120828_081136

He’s still the cutest!

So, today he and I spent our morning getting an appliance put in on his upper teeth that will have to be turned twice a day. Oh goody. The appliance has a name but I can’t remember it so we’ll call it the thingamabob.

The thingamabob is going to be a little bit of an adjustment! It’s hard to swallow with it and hard to talk. Not to mention you can see it when he smiles and they have school pictures tomorrow and we have a family photo shoot soon!

Oh well, it’s just part of growing up…and that’s just how he looks until December!

Cookie Monster!

This morning my sister and I took cupcakes to Reece’s class at school! Reece and I made the cupcakes last night. We made them to look like cookie monster’s with the class!DSC_0045 DSC_0052 DSC_0050

They are studying the letter “b” this week. Every Friday is show-n-tell and whatever you bring has to start with the letter of the week. So she brought a blue balloon, a ball, wore her blue bunny shirt and made blue cupcakes! She had a blue bow in her hair…not sure where that went! And of course she always flashes those baby blue eyes! :)

Hubby was sad he didn’t get to come with us. He is replacing our hot water heater today, along with the floor under it. Fun times!

Tomorrow we have our third birthday pool party in the last week! Hope you all have a great weekend!

3 ,2, 1 Blast Off!

I’m trying to be all “super mom” this school year. I’m going to stay as involved as I can with the boys and their school and classrooms and I’m going to document the crap out of Reece’s last year at pre-school! Lucky you! :)20120821_074842 I really love Reece’s teachers. Her lead teacher had the boys too and they could not have been more prepared for “big school”. She runs things very similar to a regular classroom. They just finished up on a unit on space! She has this big wall in her room and it’s always devoted to what the kids are studying, hence the picture above.(Betcha can’t guess which astronaut is hers! Hint: it’s the fully colored pretty one, duh!)

Our sweet girl is growing up. Tear. She picks out her own clothes and dresses herself(and has started doing her own hair). I almost don’t even get a vote on what she wears anymore. BOO.

And note that I said ALMOST! :)

Back to School!

Today Griffin and Peyton went back to school as a 4th grader and a 3rd grader! They are growing so fast. I am so very thankful for healthy kiddos, but dang they grow too fast!

Peyton has Griffin’s teacher from last year! LOVE! Griffin’s teacher is about our age and super sweet! I think he will love her! He wasn’t very excited about going back to school but Peyton sure was!

DSC_0016 Such a good picture of him…and SO out of focus. BOO…DSC_0021 DSC_0036

He loves that dang cat. I mean, look at him!DSC_0040

Another Baby Girl!

There seems to be a lot of pregnant people in our life right now! :) And several of them are due on my sister’s birthday! Not sure what was going on around here that day but people were apparently using their time wisely! ;)

My step-sister, Katie, is one of the ones due on Allison’s birthday! She had a gender reveal party on Saturday! I decided a few weeks ago that it was a girl because she called to ask me if she could have fried crab claws! I KNEW because I craved them so bad with Reece! (And I don’t like seafood!) All the food at the party was what she is craving. And also what I craved with Reece.

I was trying to get a picture of the three of us, Reece was trying to annoy her Pop! ;)

Yea, he’s gonna be a fun Dad!

We can’t wait to meet sweet Paisley Katherine!

Turkey Burgers

I thought I would share Josh’s famous turkey burger recipe! I made them last night and they were super!IMG_20120808_175533

There’s not really much of a recipe, just take two pounds of ground turkey and mix in a packet of ranch, then pat them out like regular burgers and grill! Wa-la! That’s it!

Now, if you are Negative Nancy and say you don’t like turkey, let me just tell you this….I don’t like turkey either! I don’t like it at Thanksgiving, I don’t like it at Christmas, I don’t like it with a fox, in a box…hahaha.

But I LOVE turkey burgers and they are SO much better for you than a regular hamburger!

They are also great with turkey bacon on them!

And we pretty much don’t even turn the grill on without grilling pineapple. Try it on your next burger!!!! YUMMO!

Beach Bums

I know. I know, I know, I know.

You are sick of hearing about us going to the beach. We just wanted to squeeze one more trip in before school starts!

Spoiled brats.

He’s wrapped. Enough said.DSC_0638 My meal at Calypso Joe’s Friday. Ha. That’s healthy!20120803_145159 Friday and Saturday the water was full of nasty green algae. GAROSS. If you know me in real life you know I don’t get into any type of water that I can’t see my feet in. Well, being a mom makes you do things sometimes…DSC_0644

DSC_0669  DSC_0673Yea, so they have any type of fist bump down pat…

After going through these pictures I notice that I am only in like 2 and so is Griffin. Oops.

We had a fun time. I am pretty much ready for school to start. I love a good routine and the summer just gets it all out of whack! Oh, we decided not to play football after all. It was just too much. They would be practicing four days a week after school and then play on Saturdays, some of the games are over an hour away. Just too much for us right now! Maybe next year!

Level 1 Gymnasts!

At the beginning of the summer, Reece and my sweet little niece were moved to the Level 1 gymnastics class! Normally you don’t move to this class until you are 5 but what can I say? They’re advanced, duh! :)

20120730_171330 And they rock those leotards!

Griffin and Peyton wrapped up Summer Camp last week! They had a lot of fun, but I wanted to give them a little break to be lazy and sleep in before school started!(And before football season starts! Yes, I said football season! I’ll be the nervous Mom.)
